Great fitness companion. I love its small profile, simple yet bright screen, and long battery life...lasts for days, often I get about a full week out of one charge. Tracks steps, oxygen, heart rate, sleep cycles, stress level, ekg and more.

    A great every day wearable

I used to have an Apple Watch but wanted to get something that wasn't as bulky that I could wear to keep track of my lifestyle in an effort to be more active. This fits the bill since I am much more comfortable wearing this every day than I was my Apple Watch. While this does have the option to have alerts from your phone such as calls and texts, I turned all that off so that it is just for activity tracking. I enjoy it and it is quite accurate. The battery life is phenomenal - I charge it once a week and there's still plenty of life left!

    Serious Connectivity Issues

When setting up a new Fitbit, it always has to download and install the latest updates (latest iOS). I knew there was something wrong when it couldn't even connect with the tracker for more than 10 sec. at a time. It would make it to 5%, lose connection and start all over again. After an hour of resets, toggles, etc. it mysteriously set itself up. When I look to change watch faces, there is a constant 'Unable to Connect to you Device' alert that pops on and off as you browse. My dashboard constantly has the 'Cannot sync' banner up top. After 3 or 4 manual pulls, it finally syncs. The device seems solid but if it can't share data to my phone, it seems like a waste. I'm surprised there isn't much talk about it in the reviews –– there are plenty of threads on the Fitbit community pages that date way back (seems like Fitbit isn't motivated enough to fix it by now). I'll probably return it and try a Luxe and see if that's any better.

Love it! The face is easier to read than my previous one. And the newer wrist strap design makes it easier to put on and take off with one hand.

In the last 3 1/2 years I have owned a 3 and a 4. The 5 does not have stairs on it, but that is really not an issue. I can read the 5 better because of the colors and a little bit bigger screen. I wear it 24/7. It does stay charged longer than the 4. I need to learn more about it because I could probably tweak some of the settings to make it more user friendly for me (70+ demographic).

This watch has great battery life. Love the health features. Band is too bulky for me. Glad you can change up the bands. Don't like having to download Fitbit & a Charge 5 app. Just another way to make more money.

Nice fitbit. I like that it holds a charge for 5 days. Real pain with old one that had to charge every day. Not real fond of the band latch method. Like the O2 sensor. Connects to phone and can see info on phone. Will buzz when get a call or message. I am more interested in steps, heart beat, O2, sleep. Does other stuff but have not bothered with that. Oh, yea, it tells time, date and day of week. It has not broken and still working so I guess it is pretty durable.

+ Screen is much brighter than Charge 3 or 4. + New features are nice - SpO2, etc. + Watch faces are better and more info at a glance. - GPS is stupid - you will never use it since you always have your phone. - Band is uncomfortable but you can replace. - Tap to wake doesn't always seem to work.

    Good product, APP STINKS

Device works great but the Fitbit app itself stinks. Had to actually delete my account for 7 days because the Fitbit Charge 5 would sync my steps but not add them to a challenge. When I reinstall the app in 7 days, if this doesn't work, GOODBYE to Fitbit... I'm done with all the app hassels.

This thing is better than my old fitbit versa. I prefer my tech to be more practical and less fancy if possible. Besides, all the extra things they add to the smartwatch fitbits are kinda pointless imho. If you want that stuff, get a fancy smartwatch or just use your phone. The heart sensor is delayed sometimes, but it's mostly right. The sleep stuff in the app has been helpful for me in getting myself a healthier sleep routine. My only complaint is the way it makes my wrist smell.
