Excellent product for tracking most activities. Easy to read even in bright sunlight. However, if you want to track stairs, do NOT purchase this item. FITBIT removed the altimeter after many iterations of this product with no major mention of the deletion of this base functionality. If counting stairs is important to you, seek another alternative.

I've had a Fitbit Charge 5 for a year now, I like all the features it provides. Most especially the sleep function that tracks your sleep patterns, awake, rem sleep, light sleep and deep sleep. My granddaughter was always tired to we bought her one to see how her sleep patterns are. She enjoys wearing it and all the functions it provides.

Not have worn anything on my wrist for a long time and my wife wanting me to better monitor my sleep and activity, the device seems to be doing the job. Still looking for a different band however.

This Fitbit has all the features I require: steps, active minutes, sleep (SO important), helps me track my blood glucose ( I have diabetes), oxygen saturation (I have asthma) while sleeping and I can even record a 30 sec ECG to send to my healthcare provider ( helpful with strong family history of afib).

Better screen and easier viewing in my previous charge four. Works a little differently. As far as which taps do work, so a bit of a learning curve, didn’t work exactly the same as my charge four, but no big deal. I think I would like a traditional band better, but that is changeable.

The vibrant colors makes this easier to read than the previous version. Battery life is great at about 6 days before needing a charge. The only drawback is you have to tap the screen a few times for it to be responsive when idle.

I love this device. I wear it all day, including when I am asleep. I love how compact and comfortable it is to wear, even during sleep. In the past, I could never wear a watch, etc while sleeping, but this is very comfortable. I would suggest picking up the sport band for it, because that is even more comfortable. It does everything else as well, that you would expect. Great battery life as well.

The new health tracking benefits are worth the upgrade to the Charge 5. I am using the ECG heartrate application everyday due to my past experience with Atrial Fibrillation and printing it out for my next visit with my cardiologist. If I ever have A-fib issues again, I will know right away. I highly recommend the Charge 5 for anyone with heart rhythm issues.

So far so good. It tracks the miles, without having my phone with me, since it has built in GPS. Not sure how accurate it is, but it allows me to compare it to previous days workouts.

Pros: bright display, easy to read and use, holds enough charge for my use. I like the real time activity data. Cons: it doesn’t sync well/ is buggy (alarms usually don’t go off, it didn’t track heart rate data on one activity at all, etc) to the point Fitbit is sending me a new one (their customer service is great) so TBD if it’s a device or product problem. Worse, it gave me a rash— and I have worn Fitbits for literally 10 years before getting this one without issue.
