Serves its purpose
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty durable. Does scratch. I wish there were more band options. I reacted to the silicone and ended up purchasing a 3rd party band. I haven’t had any problems sense. It does what it is supposed to do. Battery lasts 5-7 days.

Tracker
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the Tracker and how it follows your health in several different categories. It's light and unobtrusive. The main downside is having to buy the Premium package to get all that is offered.

Good basic tracker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good smartwatch for simple daily routines including heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. Currently still on the free subscription trial period but looks like the value proposition will significantly decline after. Will see.

Using this for 2 years with no issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this for more than 2 years with no issues. Battery still lasts a week and helps me stay accountable. I like this since I can wear it with my mechanical watches due to the small form factor.

fitbit charge 5 features better display
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.a marked improvement/evolution from the charge 4 with better/brighter display + longer batter life in addition to some new features such as EDA scan for stress management/mindfulness. still fairly streamlined on the wrist though one might opt to switch out the band (which slips into itself) for a buckled one.

Freezing up, and no stairs tracked
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for this Fitbit. On paper, this appeared to be a smaller, less expensive Sense for those who do not need s full on smart watch. Well, issues started happening with my watch after the first day post-update. My watch would freeze, not respond, and kept timing out connecting to my Iphone 11 Pro via Bluetooth. Something my Versa 1 had no issues with. I was thinking of exchanging, but I have no confidence in this watch as of right now. Should clear up with future updates whatever happened with mine. Admittedly I returned this, bought a Versa 3, returned before opening, and I went all out with the Sense. The Sense is awesome. Highly recommend that one.

Broke quickly after a year
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love fitbits and I wear my new one all the time, but this one broke on me out of the blue. Nothing happened to make it stop but the screen just stopped working. I only had it about a year. It was perfect before that though.

Needs a better battery
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the upgraded OLED screen but the battery life suffers. I only get two days of battery from this thing. Pretty much the same as my old Fitbit charge other than the nice screen in my opinion. The nicer screen is worth the upgrade.

Bricking Issues
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be warned. There is a common issue among Fitbit watches where it gets stuck on the logo. Restarting does not work - it seems that a firmware update causes the device to get bricked. The only way to fix it is to contact Fitbit support and have them replace your watch. Mine lasted about 8 months. Other than that, this watch is slim, lightweight and looks great.

Consider an extended waranty this and others,
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Fitbit - Charge 5 is (was) a stylish tracker. It is (was) easy to use, the screen provide (provided) a clear readout of data and there are (were) a number of options for formatting screen output. Another good thing about it is (was) the number of hours - days - it stays (stayed) - charged. The device charged quickly, consistently. I purchased a Charge 3 in March, 2019. At first, it fine for about 2 years, started to malfunction and then came back to life; It lasted a bit over 4 years. This lasted 1 year, 2 months. Warranty has expired, out of luck. I haven't contacted customer service, however, I've tried a number of "fixes" gleaned from videos - no luck. I hoped this isn't a case of planned obsolescence. I recommend getting extended coverage.

Great little fitness tracker!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My fitbit Charge 3 died after several years, so I went to Best Buy and got the Charge 5. So far I really like it. I really like that it can measure my blood oxygen level while sleeping, and can detect if I am having A-fib. I like the display much better that the one on the Charge 3. I'm not crazy about the band, but I can always get a different one.
