My old charge 4 broke. The part that holds wristband sheared off. So far, this is just like the other fitbits. I play with the ECG and stress for now, but I doubt I'll get premium. I will say "water lock" is a must before showering! I get out of the shower and I'm not sure what screen I'm on anymore.

Awesome software. However, these never make beyond a year before they start having problems. Battery life is good.

Ive had this for about six months. It worked well for the first 4 months. Now it is difficult to get it to sync up. Rarely shows data for oxygen saturation. The last four days it hasnt recorded my sleep overnight. If I wake up, then thats where it starts the record. I will not purchase a fitbit again.

I've used Fitbit trackers for years. I've continued to use Fitbit through the years because of the 7 to 8 day battery life. This is the best one I've used yet with the color screen, more detail on walks (time, calories burned, avg.bpm, and % of time in each zone), stress management functionality, sleep score including quality of sleep. What I particularly like because cardiovascular disease is a family risk factor, is the Health Metrics, eg., breathing rate, heart rate variability, skin temp, oxygen saturation, and resting heart rate. Some of these features were on my old Charge 3 and some are new which present a more comprehensive health picture. I'm looking forward to the day blood glucose monitoring will be able to work well with Fitbit and other trackers.

I like it a lot, but I wish I had some better/easier training on how to use it. I see a lot of features that I would like to use but don't fully understand how to do that.

Got this for wife to replace a Fitbit Alta HR. The charging contact points on the back of the Alta HR got too corroded to work properly and would no longer charge. This Charge 5 still has what looks like the same basic charging contact points but the charging cable attaches with a magnetic adapter instead of the clip on. This is much easier to engage than the clip on. Only time will tell if this will last longer. Wife like this tracker. It is pretty much the same size and the Alta HR and has all the same basic functions. The menu interface takes a little getting used to but it works fine. I got this because it has the ECG function, which I wanted her to have. The ECG function does work without upgrading to a paid subscription.

More than adequate - bought two / one for my wife and me. She needed it to monitor keeping physical fit. I bought mine out of necessity. I recently had a heart procedure with out the need to go into detail. I can monitor myself to assure that I’m adequately exercising as needed = plus!

Lack of button makes this frustrating

Prior Fitbit was the Charge 3 which had the haptic button on the side, which worked 99% of the time. The Charge 5 removes all semblances of a button. You have to flick the watch up (which works 70% of the time), or tap the screen (which works 70-80% of the time). There are times (esp when I'm working out), when it JUST DOESN'T REGISTER. Lack of a dedicated button makes this a frustrating experience.

Has many options for a watch face and does exactly what I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle with the app. They do charge for a premium service which has helpful videos and other types of ways to log your health journey.

I've had multiple of the original Fitbit and the Fitbit Surge as well, but this one has just enough "smart" features without being overwhelming. Recommend this for those who want to track their steps but don't need all the fancy gadget features.
