Awesome software. However, these never make beyond a year before they start having problems. Battery life is good.

More than adequate - bought two / one for my wife and me. She needed it to monitor keeping physical fit. I bought mine out of necessity. I recently had a heart procedure with out the need to go into detail. I can monitor myself to assure that I’m adequately exercising as needed = plus!

Lack of button makes this frustrating

Prior Fitbit was the Charge 3 which had the haptic button on the side, which worked 99% of the time. The Charge 5 removes all semblances of a button. You have to flick the watch up (which works 70% of the time), or tap the screen (which works 70-80% of the time). There are times (esp when I'm working out), when it JUST DOESN'T REGISTER. Lack of a dedicated button makes this a frustrating experience.

Ive had this for about six months. It worked well for the first 4 months. Now it is difficult to get it to sync up. Rarely shows data for oxygen saturation. The last four days it hasnt recorded my sleep overnight. If I wake up, then thats where it starts the record. I will not purchase a fitbit again.

A year of use and problems

I didn’t like the charge 5 and did not live up to Fitbits standers. I had many issues with the watch in the year that I have been using it. My biggest complaint is the GPS. The tracking in general is not good for me because you have to choose to sacrifice GPS or hr readings when on a run or work out that used them. If you have GPS on then hr tracking will become less accurate or not read. My second biggest complaint is the clock faces. For some reason when I tied to switch watch faces it could. It load on to the watch successfully and would give you an error screen and would require you to restart the watch. Some of my minor issues was Bluetooth connectivity not working so then I wouldn’t be able to sync or get notifications for a while. Another minor issue was the smart alarms. Sometimes they would not go off or if it lost hr tracking it would trigger the alarm at that time. Overall I didn’t like the watch and I could have bought the versa 2 at the time for the same price. I was coming to the this watch after my amazfit bip u pro died (it was a hold over watch that I bought for cheap bc my older Fitbit versa lite died) I don’t recommend this and I hope I just bought a dud watch.

This is my second FitBit ever, and what a great upgrade from the Charge4. I can’t think I can go anywhere without it. I am in love with the app too. This has seen many many miles and adventures!

My CHARGE HR 4 wasn't impressing me so I turned it in for 30$ trade in credit towards this bad boi and I love it. So colorful and eye capturing. I love the different clock faces all very original and unique. It is lighter and feels much better for extended use like I use it for. Never take it off unless I'm showering, at the beach, or charging it. I will update if I encounter any issues. I just wish they'd bring back the elliptical function workout.

I'm happy with my purchase. There has only been one problem: Yesterday it documented my activity as swimming for 48 minutes; however, that's not true. I've been sick so I haven't been active and I don't even know HOW to swim. LOL

Charge 5 vs Apple Watch was my consideration. The 5 will have pretty much same features once the ecg becomes available. I considered the longer lasting Apple Watch and it’s price to the expected lifetime of the 5 and it’s price and it still comes out to about the same annual cost. I opted for not so much money upfront. That was truly the only deciding factor for me.

A very solid choice for a fitness watch. I’ve been swimming, cycling, running, and going though weight loss phases and tons of training. It’s comfortable and held up to everything. I like it a lot, especially for the price.
