I really like the Fitbit products. I mainly use it for steps and the heartrate, both which work great. I did have to replace my old one after about 2 years of use because of screen issues. So far no issue with this one.

I have always enjoyed Fitbit watches. Unlike Apple Watches where most apps like sleeping analysis and what not usually cost extra annual charges to be used on an Apple Watch. As for the fitbit has these features for free included. The app is very easy to follow and understand.

I complete approximately 16K - 22K steps per day and I am finding that I have to charge my new Fitbit every single evening instead of wiping it down and wearing it to bed. My Fitbit Charge 4 battery lasted at least 3-4 days with the same usage. I am very unsatisfied overall.

Screen is extremely sensitive, battery life is short. Constantly having to delete activity or stop stop watch. The only way i found to control this was to put it in water mode but it prevents me from seeing anything. It is an amazing tracker but these blips are horrible

I bought this in January 2022. It just died. Whatever else one might say about its strengths and weaknesses, an 18-month useful life is just not acceptable. If you buy this watch, chances are it may look like mine by the end of next year (see picture).

READ THIS IF YOU ARE HAVING BATTERY ISSUES

I’ve had the Fitbit Charge 2 since 2018 and love it. It’s simple and does everything I need it too, which are: 1. Counting my daily steps, treadmill count, and bike activity when working out at the gym. 2. Lastly, to monitor my daily goal of 10K steps. 3. It also serves as a watch just to be able to tell time. 4. Plus, people always use to compliment me on the stainless steel band because it looked like some high-end designer watch. No one knew it was a Fitbit till I told them. I had a Samsung smartwatch and didn’t care for it. The Charge 2 is perfect and light weight and the battery goes up to 6 days some times. So I finally caved in and got the Charge 5 because the color screen looked like a worthy upgrade. However, I was extremely hesitant about upgrading due to the angry 1 star reviews. Luckily, I haven’t encountered any of those issues. Here are things to keep in mind: 1. The Premium features are NOT required to own this. They give you the option to do the free trial and then pay for the features if you decide you like it. I could care less and won’t be paying that. I don’t need all that data or report to look at. Life is so complicated as it is let alone add in a new report to review. 2. Mine was not “DEAD-ON-ARRIVAL”. I let the battery charge to almost 100% first before I did anything. After charging, I then synced it with my LG Android phone. It says the software download may take 40 mins. In actuality, it was less than 5 mins to download and then less than 10 mins for it go update on the actual device. Wi-Fi connection of course. Pairing this with my smartphone was beyond simple. Easy breezy. 3. The battery life advertises 7 days. I had serious issues with the battery during the first few days, but i think i figured out what the issue is. The charging indicator goes to 99% relatively fast. However, everyone naturally assumes in 5 mins it'll go up by 1% to hit 100%. This is NOT the case. Let it charge for close to 2 hours and you'll finally see it hit 100%. That is how you know it is truly 100%. If you take it off at 99% then expect it to die in less than 2 days. I hope this helps because the reviews are trashing the battery life hardcore and i think it has to do with people disconnecting it from the charger when it says 99%. I charged it to 100% on Monday at 9am and its almost Friday now and its at 83%. LOVE IT! 4. I had another glitch which was the 10K steps i did. I got the usual animation sequence to let me know I hit my 10K goal. However, when I synced it, it said I only did 9,999K steps. So I didn’t get the HAPPY POP UP on the phone app to let me know I did my 10K goal for the day. Not sure what happened there. Very strange. So I ended up doing 20 more steps and during the second syncing, it registered on the app as hitting my 10K daily goal. 5. I don’t care for the GPS and tried to turn it off to save battery life. The only options are GPS with: Phone, Fitbit, or Dynamic. I have no idea what Dynamic means so I changed it to phone. 6. I turned off the “Always-On-Display” off to save battery life and left the brightness on normal versus BRIGHT! I also turned off the heart rate, heart zone, and turned on double tape to wake the screen to help save battery life. I'll write an updated review if it goes to 5 days on a single charge. 8. Oh, and I want a stainless steel band. The same one that I have with my Fitbit Charge 2. Last complaint. I wish Google NEVER brought the Fitbit company. This was another example of an unnecessary merger. Government entities that review these types of mergers really need to think about what they are doing. I almost feel like Google may ruin the this brand somehow in the future and it’ll then impact customers. They also brought HTC smartphones and did nothing with them. Same with Microsoft whom brought Nokia and did nothing with them and now Microsoft isn’t even in the smartphone business. I don’t count their new dual screen phone. I think Microsoftt brought Bethesda as well, and watch NOTHING happen there either. Just my two cents. Currently, the Charge 5 is really a 3.5 star device. I am being generous with my 4 stars. I am hoping they do a software patch to fix some of these bugs.

    Great Fitness and Sleep Tracker

After reading all the reviews I was a tad worried about battery life. But with my specific usage, I have cast all my doubts aside! When I first got the Fitbit Charge 5 I charged it to 100%. The battery lasts about 8 days with my usage. I have the always-on display disabled, I set the GPS to phone only and I have notifications off. I use this watch to track my daily steps and heart rate and my workouts at orange theory fitness. I had a charge 2 for years and this is a massive upgrade in my opinion. The sleep tracking and HRM are spot on and I haven't had any issues with irregular tracking. The added stress tracking and SPo2 tracking are a nice bonus. I do wish you could track your spo2 during workouts or during the day, it only gets tracked when you are sleeping. The band that comes in the box is very comfortable however I upgraded to the sports band and it makes the band even less noticeable. I am looking forward to the daily readiness score and the ECG features which as of this writing are still not available. I do wish there were more watch faces to choose from as I wanted to be able to see colored zones as my HR increases. However, the watch does vibrate and notify you when your heart rate enters different zones such as fat burning or cardio and I find this very helpful especially when I'm on hikes. Overall I am very pleased with this tracker! I do think it's a tad overpriced though. I bought this watch through my health insurance so I had a $40 discount.

This is a great tracker. Accurate terrific battery life and in a slim profile that does not get in the way when doing workouts. Admittedly, I don't use all the features like EKG but love it for tracking heart rate, steps and and location for a run with its built in GPS. Loved it so i bought one for my GF for Xmas. She loves hers also.
