Stay away from this device.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stay away from this watch! When I initially bought mine, I loved it... I thought it was the best watch ever for the first couple of months; however, I've ran into some problems... The GPS went out, and no longer works on the device. After doing some research, here's my review on the Fitbit Charge 5, and Fitbit devices as a whole: 1. They're cheaply made, and only last anywhere from a few months to a year. Do some research, and you'll learn that the average lifespan of a Fitbit device is significantly shorter than most other smart watches. You have a better chance at winning the lottery than you do having your Fitbit last more than a year. 2. Fitbit support is a nightmare to work with. They do offer a warranty in case the watch breaks down, but trying to get them to honor the warranty is like pulling the teeth out of your mouth (this has been my personal experience). You can spend hours with them, providing video and picture evidence over email, troubleshooting issues on the phone, etc. and they will still try to deny you the warranty. Do yourself a favor, and don't buy this watch so you wont have to deal with them. 3. Even if your device lasts, things on the device will start to break down. In my case, it was the GPS tracking. It's totally shot. If you ever want to track a run or walk accurately, don't even bother. The GPS within this device is terrible. I would recommend buying a Garmin watch. They last and work properly. Checkout the Garmin Forerunner 245. It's a little bit more expensive, but definitely worth the extra money. If you want to own a Fitbit, just be ready to buy 2 or 3 of them every year.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this as a present for my mom and she loves it. The Apple Watch just had too many features for her that she didn’t want or need. This was perfect.

More hype than value.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was expected more from this. Bought it for my father since it marked to have irregular heart rhythm notification. However, unlike the Inspire 3 which I also bought, you have to manually go through the ECG monitor to get to your heart rhythm measurement. Nowhere in the Fitbit app does it indicated that it is done automatically (like the Inspire 3) so...not sure about this function, which was the entire reason I bought the charge 5 besides the bigger screen. It does have the high/low heart rate function, but not sure how useful this is. It does have the stress management function but since English is not the main language for the user, it is a useless additional feature.

Charge 3 was better
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement for my charge 3 due to battery issues. After a few weeks, I wish I’d replaced it with an Apple Watch. The battery doesn’t last as long as the 3 (when it was new). It doesn’t always track data (I.e. - heart rate, sleep). But ironically, unless you lock the watch, it will sometimes start recording a run or swim when I’m not engaged in those activities. I hate having to lock the watch to prevent this from happening. Prior to purchase, I read the less than favorable reviews. But I decided since I liked the 3 so much….surely I would like this one. I wish I’d heeded the advice. If you like utilizing data, this version is not reliable. I’ll wear it for awhile since I just spent a little $ on it. But without a doubt, I won’t replace it with a Fitbit.

Dead After 14 Months
