This is my 2nd fitbit that has failed around an year of usage with a black screen. When my first watch failed, i assumed i just got unlucky. But two watches failing with the same issue systematically shows quality issues with manufacturing. All fitbit offered was a discount on a new purchase, which is still higher or comparable to online/store deals during Thanksgiving. Fitbit just lost my family as a customer.

In general the Fitbit Charge 5 rates much higher than I gave MY Fitbit Charge 5. Sometimes multiple times a day the band will come off. I think that I just have a bum tracker. I will return it to the store. My Hourly Activity misses steps and records no activity for period with activity. My sleep tracker, which is one of my favorite areas in Fitbit, often mis-records my sleep period, requiring manual adjustment.

2 weeks of owning and the screen went black. I'd say this is a bad batch but this has happened 4 times. First watch did it and got a replacement before 1 year. 2nd faceplate went bad 2x before we hit the 2 year mark. This new watch, same style (son like the slim) and 2 weeks of using and as before when out running & face went black. We are now switching brands.

Best fitbit I have owned. Great battery life. Great purchase.

1 week with it so far, but it has been amazing. Absolutely love it. Upgraded from Charge 3. The screen is def brighter and easy to read in the sunlight. It's so comfortable I don't even notice that I'm wearing it. It's not hard to navigate without buttons. just watch a quick instructional video.

A nice update to the Charge 4. I like the color screen and but features are the same. The band doesn’t irritate my wrist and it’s easy to keep clean. I also like the magnetic charger.

Doesn't have someof the features of other fitbits but it holds a charge. Thats been my problem with the other new ones. They only hold a charge ~ 24 hours or less, no matter what the say! Like the sleek styling.

Not such a great device, i used for 2 days and the screen went black and wouldnt reset. This is a common issue with this device.

The design of the strap is a serious problem. Because the end of the strap is trapped under the band I developed a bruise which wore into an open sore. As if this design flaw were not bad enough, I found it impossible to get the fitbit to work as simply or effectively as my previous fitbit. I would rate this a piece of junk. I have moved on to a Garmin watch whose owner's manual is written much more clearly.

Was a Christmas present. It was a huge hit! Exactly what was wanted! Recipient can’t stop talking about it and is very appreciative. App was easy to install. We did have a tiny problem with it going to sleep and then getting it turned back on before fully setting it up. If that happens just plug the charger back in and it will be responsive again.

I am very pleased with the Charge 5. I upgraded from Charge 3 and enrolled in the Premium option for the free period. I do like the premium option. I do find the premium meditation helpful. The digital display on the Charge 5 is much better for me. The band is easier to manage and the charger 5 digital display design is a huge plus for me.

After roughly five months of usage, I started facing the battery drainage issue. It doesn't even last 2 hrs. I have tried everything like turning off the GPS, all-day sync, decreasing brightness to dim, and manual awake. When I looked online, I could find many users having the same issue with the battery. Hence, if you are planning to purchase charge 5, please do some research and check what Fitbit has to say about their ongoing battery issue.
