Nice upgrade over Fitbit Charge 3

Better options the my Fibit Charge 3. The GPS tracking system is far better and much more accurate. The tracker itself is good, but the company Fitbit is refusing to address the lack of video casting of their videos for Android users under their paid Premium service. Overall, very pleased with my new Charge 5.

Died after a day of use

Was a fine experience with setup and tracking... Just ended up dying on me within the first 8 hours. Wasn't able to turn it back on again. The troubleshooting experience is *TERRIBLE*. You have to use a series of 3 timed button presses on the CABLE of all things to restart it.

Stops reading heartbeat erratically. Restarts on its own. Within just a year’s use. Sleep tracking is ok.

Hi, there. We're sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 5 is tracking your heart rate inaccurately and that it restarts on its own. Heart-rate tracking can be affected by several factors including air temperature and device location on your wrist. For more information, we recommend checking out these tips: https://support.google.com/fitbit/answer/14237938 and https://support.google.com/fitbit/answer/14236612 We also recommend restarting your Fitbit by following the steps here: https://support.google.com/fitbit/answer/14194938 Make sure to sync your Fitbit in the Fitbit app: From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner > Tap the device that you want to sync > Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now. I forgot my charger while on vacation, so I bought a new one at Best Buy (30 miles from my vacation spot.) It wouldn't charge my watch. As soon as I arrived home (after 5 days without the watch) I plugged it in to my home charger and it started charging. I have bought three chargers - two of them worked. (I tried all of the suggested fixes and the third charger never worked.)

Works great so far. A nice upgrade from the Charge 3. It has a color screen and all that I would want from a fitness tracker. Specifically chose this model because I wanted minimal interaction with my phone and just wanted a watch/fitness tracker The band is a bit thick but I swapped it out easily with a 3rd party version.

I have purchased 2 of these devices and all of them are dead or have the black screen issues after just a few months. This appears to be a firmware update issue and Fitbit will not warranty the device. Purchase at your own risk.

Great style and a lot of cool things tracked with this model. It just doesn’t always work. Stops tracking HR randomly and has to be restarted. Super frustrating. Seems like software has bugs.

Fitbit Charge 5 died after three months. I bought the 5 after having a great experience with bam older version. When this charge 5 screen died the Best Buy employee asked if I was a “regular customer”. I’m. Not sure what that meant but o have bought many computers, cameras, home security items etc from Best Buy. I was told they could not help me because I bought the fitbit three months ago and to contact Fitbit. Fitbit has not offered an assistance. I will not buy another Fitbit and will stop shopping Best Buy.

Sometime on my bike ride, the Fitbit doesn't wake to log the GPS path of my ride. The EDA Scan does not work. The alarm has failed to go off a couple of times. I would not rely of the alarm.

I purchased this as an anniversary present for my wife. Unfortunately, she broke her left wrist the day of our anniversary and hasn't been able to wear it yet. She keeps it handy and is very pleased with it, to the limited extent that she is able to use it. So far, no regrets and if momma is happy, everyone is happy.

This product and company sucks. Initial item had to be replaced within six months, afree common water exposure.. And the replacement items screen failed a little longer than 6 months later. 2 failed products on the span of 13/15 months. Customer service refuses to replace the second. Don’t not buy.

Quality of newer Charge Fitbits extremely poor

We really liked our Fitbits, but sadly they don’t last very long before dying. Each new generation (we’ve had the Charge 3, 4 & 5 now) seems to have shorter lifespans than the previous ones. On top of that, we were also having to reboot them on a regular basis. AND the watch band would frequently disconnect from device & fall off. So BYE BYE Fitbit…
