Alot of power in this little thing

Initial impressions are pretty good. It looks nice. It fits nice. I wore it sleeping the first tonight and I didn't notice it was even on. It has a lot more sensors and data collection then i anticipated. But that's good. These devices have made progress over the years. Only thing off the bat I'm wary about is the Fitbit premium membership. You get 6 months free at first, but after that it's $80 a year. And I can't really see a ton of use in the product without this membership. It would essentially be a step counter without it. So I'll update my review over time if things change on my impression.

I like the large colored numbers which make it easy to read. It wakes easy and is easy to use. The band causes a reaction on my wrist so I had to change it.

Best Fitness Tracker when not wanting a smartwatch

I've used a lot of different smart watches / fitness trackers over the last few years and found myself coming back to the Fitbit Charge. At the end of the day, I realized I didn't want a smart watch. Im not glued to my phone and wear regular mechanical watches anyway. The Charge 5 is small and sleek, giving the look of a medium faced bracelet all while providing the benefit of every fitnees tracker out there. There are two things that could be better. 1) the vibrate on alarms is very weak. I know that's because of the size of the device, but the Charge 3 really packed a punch for its size. And 2) there isnt an altimeter so it doesnt track flights of stairs.

I love this Fitbit! It has all the features I actually use. The sleep tracking feature and Oxygen level are great to have. The amount of information I get on the phone app from this Fitbit is amazing. Battery lasts me about 5 days, but I play with it a lot since I have only had it 3 weeks.

This is a big improvement over the Charge 4. First of all, it is in color, which makes it much easier to see. And the steps counter is more accurate. The battery time is much improved, and charges up very quickly. Very happy with this tracker.

I upgraded from the fitbit 4 and it’s great. I love the Fitbit product and the new one with color display, ECG monitor is awesome. Plus it’s not bulky and doesn’t have sharp edges that I can keep on during basketball games and other sports. Highly recommend.

I was not looking for something as large or as complex as an IOS or Android watch and this fits the bill. This is light enough to wear throughout the day as a step tracker and provides enough features for my daily work outs. And it is definitely waterproof. I exercise in the pool for 90 minutes or so a day and it is fully submerged the entire time and I have not had any issues at all. Perfect for my needs so if you are looking for a fully functional exercise tracker with some bells and whistles that is smaller than the current e-watches this will work for you.

Great tracker with an annoying bug

This is my first fitness tracking. I am enjoying using it. I find the data that it provides motivating. Unfortunately the tracker has an extremely annoying bug. I realized I need to remember to restart the device every single time I charge it. If I don't restart the device, it's battery only lasts about 6 hours. If I do restart the device, it's battery lasts days. I read online that I am not the only once experiencing this issue.

This is the 3rd Fitbit charge that I have purchased and it is by far the best one yet! The band is ultra comfortable and I love the various features such as the colored screen, built in GPS and heart rhythm monitor. The Fitbit charge beats the competition hands down.

Bought it as a gift. Set up was not as seamless as I expected. Using it with iPhone mini. Had to go through set up cycle about 3x before it finally synced correctly. I would keep getting a “lost connection” message in the Fitbit app during the first two attempts. Found in the manual how to do a reset of the watch, then went through setup again and the watch OS updated. Have been using for about a week now. Have only charged it once when going through setup and still has about 30% life left. Haven’t used any of the GPS tracking or activity tracking. Got this primarily for step counts and sleep tracking and I like it so far. The charger works on magnets so any tug will disconnect it from the charger. I suppose this helps conserve life of the cable but a little annoying under certain circumstances. App is fairly easy to use. Needs a manual trigger to sync with tracker data every once in a while. Plastic straps get a bit uncomfortable after a day or two but looking at getting 3rd party straps online.

This is great step counter but it’s my 4 Fitbit due to they only last just as long for the warranty to expire, I wish they were made of better quality.

I will confess, I have owned a charge 4 and found that so invaluable that I went ahead and purchased a charge 5 when the charge 4 became unuseable. It fits on the writst. different type of wrist strap, take some getting used to. Charging is different too, they use a magnetic positioner which is much more accurate and easier to use than the mechanica one. heartbeat and exergy expenditures are right up front. Faceplate is multicolored and much easier to see. There is a learning curve to master all the capabilities of this wrist strap marvel. But owning a fitness tracker is a huge step forward in taking care of your health and going with fitbit ensures you are getting one of the best out there today !!

I like the sleek profile of this tracker, it is much better than wearing a large wrist wart during sporty activities. I recharge mine every three days, but the charge will last as long as the specifications claim. The strap is reasonably comfortable, and offers a wide range of adjustment. I receive many notifications from my iphone regarding messages and phone calls, and I find this very convenient in many circumstances. Now for the shortcomings. My Charge 5 often loses the connection to my iphone, and then it refuses to reconnect. The device also occasionally leaves the activity specific monitoring function during a workout, whether it is a walk, run, or bike ride. For example, it stops monitoring my heart rate, speed, and distance, and then tries to take an ekg, for no apparent reason. I end up with no data from my workout, and this defeats the purpose of a tracker. Fitbit chat customer service wasn’t helpful with these issues. I was wearing loose-fitting long sleeves during these incidents, due to cool weather, and I asked customer service whether the friction of the sleeves on the surface of the Fitbit could simulate a finger swipe and thus cause the functions to change, but I was unable to get this point across to the Fitbit associate.

Came from HR2 which lasted over 7 years, this one is way nicer. Great screen, color and very informative. Syncs very fast with app and doesn't miss sleep info which my HR2 would do from time to time. Lasts about a week before needing a recharge

I have to say that no altimeter was a big disappointment at first. But after a few months I started to accept it and use the active zone minutes to challenge myself. Display and colors are bright and it gives me all the stats I currently need. Still, a bummer that I won't know how many stories I had climbed after hiking.
