As an Apple Watch user, I couldn’t justify replacing my broken apple watch with one of these and even as a companion device it didn’t work well for me. The best faeture I found for me, was tracking sleep. This is something I can’t do easily on my Apple watch due to battery life and charging frequency and the fitbit has great metrics to offer in this regard. The other functions work well and quality is there which is why I went with a 4 star instead of a 3 star review. This just wasn’t for me, third time I’ve tried with Fitbit.

My mom LOVES this Fitbit! Her only issue is that if she doesn’t have the Fitbit app open and running on the background of her phone, she won’t receive notifications (it wasn’t an issue previously).

I am glad I waited to get the upgraded Charge 5 to be my first tracker. Multiple functions, all in color. The sleep tracker could be a little more accurate. Not sure about accuracy for steps as I have nothing to gauge it against. (I really can't believe I walk 5,000 steps daily without a true walking regime.) The notification bar alerts for any text message from my S21. I would not have thought it would be compatible with Samsung. The ECG function determines either normal or irregular heart rhythm, but the EDA scan is important. There are other important features I have yet to explore. Will probably pay the for the premium service after the free trial expires. Battery Life is determined by how often you view the tracker. I usually can go 5 days without recharging. I have not showered with device. Comfort requires you to get used to having it on for 24 hours. Watch band could be improved.

A good fitness tracker with the features I need (including some advanced features found on higher-end devices) and a companion app that tracks the data in an easy to navigate interface.

    Disappointing… died after 3weeks

I’ve been using Fitbits for 6 years, and have upgraded after every new release. The band portion completely broke on my Charge 4 so I needed a new one. I was so excited for the Charge 5 because the face options were cooler and it was supposed to have more and better features. I read to charge it completely before setting it up, so I did that. The first 24 hours were fine, but by the 2nd day, I had a black screen in the morning and I couldn’t get it resolved. I had to call customer service and they walked me through resetting it. Had that been the only episode, I would’ve rated the 5 with 4 or 5 stars; however, I sometimes had to hit the screen multiple times to get it to work. Also, one of the selling points in the sleep monitoring, but at least 1-2 nights a week, it didn’t work properly. Then, a week ago, after just wearing it about 3 weeks, it completely died. I called customer service and the tried to reset it, but it never started working. They agreed to replace it (i.e., ship it to them and they’d ship a new one back). I’ve never had an issue like this with a Fitbit before. I’ve read that some are having battery issues. I’m hoping that’s it, and not that the new owners have pushed out a release for Christmas when it wasn’t ready, or that they’re no longer concerned with quality. I’m crossing my fingers that the new one works a ton better than the last

It's pretty good. I'm still getting use to it. Offers a good amount of health and fitness info. You can see patterns, and track your health and activities over time. Bought mainly to track my heart and health.

I'm enjoying my Charge 5. It is much nicer than my previous Charges. The higher quality screen is a huge plus. I'm still quite disappointed that Fitbit removed the altimeter though so the Charge 5 no longer counts floors. Huge disappointment. They added many other "new" features but they don't advertise what they've removed.

Works just as advertised. Definitely a fan of Fitbit watches, they are great for techno-phones and older users like me. I checked out some of the other brands, Apple, Garmin etc…too many bells and whistles that I don’t need and can’t figure out. I’ve bought Fitbits since 2015 and will continue.

Better than previous versions except do not like the limited selection of clock face options, and miss the altimeter (stair climb count) function.
