This is my second one to malfunction within 14 months. This one malfunctioned in 8 months. Very frustrating. Customer service in both instances could not fix the problem. I love my fitbit and all the features but I don't recommend this device

I was basically just using it to calculate my steps and sleep. Loved it, until it died on me. It lasted 2 months & the during this time, I never got it wet or wore it doing anything too strenuous. If you purchase, I would suggest buying the warranty with it.

Defective Battery

It was just over the 1 year warranty. The battery would drain from 100% to 0% in 7 hours and happen over night. I contacted their support team and all they did was send me a link to a generic article to change settings such as GPS and notifications. I had neither enabled in the first place and the Fitbit used to last about a week before I had to charge it. I looked online to trouble shoot and this is apparently a common issue. I tried to factory reset and nothing improved. I have been a fitbit member for over 5 years and upgraded to different trackers over time. Since I was past the warranty period they could not send a replacement and could only do a 35% discount. This is clearly a product defect and unacceptable. There are many fitness trackers to choose from. I could have gotten an Apple Watch with the money I have spent on their trackers over time. I will be making the switch since Fitbit support is lacking and product is subpar.
