This is such a nice looking fit bit. I love the color and the slim style. I have not had any problems with it. The band closes like a regular watch band and is much better than other fitbits. You get 3 months free of the Fitbit Coach and I like it. I use it for treadmill programs and it is helping me to work out better. I will see if I keep it after 3 months, hopefully I will be on a good exercise plan by then. I only wish they had more face options but it is not really a big deal. I do recommend this fitbit.

I enjoyed having the InspireHR, and was quite disappointed in FitBit when it totally DIED after just barely one year. I contacted FitBit about it and the only consolation they had was a 20% discount on the purchase of a new device. While it was working it was good. Battery life was usually about 4 days, easy to recharge, until battery died.

I have had problems with the hardware, software of the Inspire HR and with the phone app, and web dashboard. This product is supposedly waterproof, but the first time I dared test that feature (I wore it for several months before doing so) by wearing it in the shower, the display surface got cloudy with condensation under it. I lived with that as I could still see the numbers but after a few months like that it completely stopped working and I got it replaced using the warranty. The replacement worked for a few months, but then it started having problems- I think it might have been having charging issues, but I don't remember exactly now, it had so many problems-, so I called support and they said it was just out of warranty so they wouldn't replace it (mind you, this was the replacement of the original one, so it was only a few months old, but the warranty works off your original purchase date, the warranty doesn't restart with a replacement). They offered a coupon for 35% off the purchase of another one, but why would I want to buy another one when two had failed in a year? After that call, I noticed a few days later that it had decided to start working again, so I put it back on. But after a couple of weeks, the display on it went black. However, I noticed it would still send data to my phone , so I kept wearing it, using my phone to see the info, manually syncing it every time I wanted to see the data (For a long time it had already stopped automatically syncing). After wearing it that way for about a month, it started sending wildly inaccurate heartrate data (I would do a sync and it would say my heartrate was very very fast, but when I checked my pulse manually upon seeing that number and being worried, my pulse was normal). A couple weeks later, it died completely. In addition to the problems with the fitbit itself, over the course of ownership of both the original and the replacement I had lots of trouble with the app crashing or taking exceedingly long times to sync or not recognizing the fitbit and I would have to go through all the troubleshooting steps of things like Force Stop, Clearing the Cache, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, rebooting the fitbit, etc. In addition I to all the hardware problems, I didn't like decisions the software programmers made either. You can choose different watchfaces in the app to send to the fitbit to display, but none of the faces were designed where the things like the numbers for heartrate or steps were large enough to easily see while moving and glasses are bouncing. You know, things that would help use the fitbit for exercise. How about when you swipe to have the screen for heartrate be the screen you are looking at, the heartrate numbers be nice and big, like the time is on the main screen? But no, not an option. The heartrate screen is just a giant heart on the screen with the same tiny heartrate number as on the main screen. What's the point of that? Instead, most of the watchface choices were pointless things like the time next to a sketch of a sheep. You also can't control which tiles you have show up on your fitbit, or the order they show in, so there are so many screens you have to scroll through that you probably don't care about. Like, how much water you've drunk, when you can't even use the fitbit itself to add that information. Or how many "Activity" minutes you've done. Or maybe you don't want to see how many calories you've burned or where you are in your menstrual cycle every time you exercise. Or maybe you use the timer, but not notifications. Doesn't matter, you have to scroll past all those screens to see the screen you are actually interested in. And in the app/web there are poor programming decisions as well. Screens I want to see large and in detail, such as heartrate over the course of the day, can't be turned to the Landscape mode on your phone. You can add and see menstrual cycle information using the app, but not on the web dashboard. The tiles on the web dashboard can't be expanded to see more information or to be seen larger. Sleep score and sleep data is only in the app, not on the web dashboard. GPS tracking only works if you have both your fitbit and your phone with you (Programmers, why did you bother putting it on the fitbit, if you have to have your phone with you to use the GPS? My phone can track my location already. A point of wearing a Fitbit is to be able ditch the phone while exercising). And finally, the phone won't sync to the app if you are not somewhere with internet access, which is often my case. Just so poorly designed.

Overall I'm happy with it. It's not perfectly accurate when counting steps, but I understand it's an approximation. I like the reminder to move every hour because sometimes time flies by while working. It doesn't always capture the amount of time that I have been exercising. I love the capability to keep track of what I eat every day because it makes me aware of my choices and forces me to think. I recommend it as long as people are aware that this is an information tool. Information is power. :-)
