When activated the Foodsaver pump works well to completely evacuate air from the bag, however the sealing strip is inoperative, after the seal light extinguishes air re-enters the bag since no part of the bag was sealed. Attempts to seal independent of the vacuum function were also unsuccessful, strip does not even get warm to touch after use. Very disappointing since I had fresh caught fish to seal the first time.

Wanted it to work...

I know how to use it, I owned another mode before this that worked amazingly, but this one just wouldn’t work. Food savers in general is a great product, I think I just got a lemon.
