This movie was, by my estimation, 40% biography of Carol Shelby and Ken Miles, 40% why and how the Ford GT40 was developed, and 20% racing. Christian Bale went to driving school and the shots of him driving were really him driving a GT up to 120MPH. Ken Miles son said Bale spent 2 weeks with him listening to stories and looking at pictures. His son said Bale did his father to a tee. They used lenses that mimicked lenses of the time. The only CGI they used was to fill in backgrounds. This resulted in an extremely realistic movie.

Ford vs. Ferrari was a really solid movie from start to finish. I was unaware of any of this story so to see everything unfold the way it did was truly special. Definitely an adrenaline heavy movie that had me glued to the screen. Damon and Bale really nail their roles as they always do but it was great to see them on the screen together. Any fan story driven movies regardless if they have an interest in cars at all should enjoy this. Highly recommend checking it out if you get a chance.

Loved the movie! Full of beautiful cars and retelling of the Ford v Ferrari story. It made for a very entertaining movie. Superformance did a superb job with their Cobras and GT40s. Most of the Ferraris as I understand were on loan. My only real criticism was the outright character assassination of Leo Bebe (played by Josh Lucas) a great tale of Ford winning LeMans in '66. Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby had many great achievements together and this movie does a pretty good job of showing that. A must have for any real car lover.

This was the first steelbook I've ever purchased and I am extremely happy with the overall packaging. I saw the film itself while it was in theaters and loved it and I can say without a doubt the 4K presentation with this release continues the love for the film. Visually and sonically is a great release. If you're unable to grab a steelbook of it, do yourself a favor and grab at least the normal 4K UHD release of the film. Great for automotive history fans and fans of great films all together.

I've been lucky to meet Carroll Shelby more than once, and for more than a brief autograph - and Matt Damon really got the man's attitude and some of his speech patterns well. While there are some historical holes and errors, only a few of us old-timers will even notice them, besides, it's a movie, not a documentary. It also helped that I recognized several shooting locations from having been there (NOT in France, BTW) at other events. It's a really good personality drama with racing as the background.

How come you guys can deliver this item in a couple of days? Amazon won't deliver for over two or three weeks? That's why I bought from you. Wish you sold toilet paper, hand sanitizers, rubber gloves and face masks. Amazon says these items are "IN STOCK", but won't be delivered until sometime in June. Two months? Really? People need these items NOW. DVDs can wait (except at Best Buy), but the above items are needed now. Not after the virus is over. Thanks for your interest and rapid response.

Ford v Ferrari is the retelling of Ford's efforts to dethrone Ferrari at LeMans. Ford built the GT40 and after a few spits and sputters successfully dethrone Ferrari at LeMans. The drama in this movie involves convincing Henry Ford II to fund the project at great cost and with an unrealistically short timeline. Ultimately, the racing battle was transcended by the personal animosity between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari. The movie is well acted and does justice to the actual history of the rivalry.

This is a very entertaining movie in many ways. First it is a true story told in a comprehensive manner. It is an historically accurate depiction of something that really happened presented in an exciting and, sometimes breathtaking, manner. The visuals are excellent and the surround soundtrack will test your sound system to your amazement. The acting is top rate too. Christian Bale does an outstanding job with his role. Great movie for us gearheads and anyone else who likes believable action movies.

Ford vs. Ferrari is a great film the whole family can enjoy. I saw this movie in theaters when it first came out, and the story line, racing action, and all the drama leading us to the Ford motor team building a race car to compete with Ferrari is phenomenal. The movie is quite long but it goes by at such a smooth pace with all the racing action. The price for this 4K, Blu Ray movie was well worth it. Overall excellent movie that I highly recommend.

This movie offers a realistic insight to the launch of the Ford Racing program/division of the Ford Motor Company, with the collaboration of Carroll Shelby, as shown in the movie one can see how the Ford Motor Company later valued the infusion of the racing community into its products and how it positively influenced it future automotive endeavors. The performances of Matt Damon and Christian Bale are spot on and create an unforgettable experience inside the racing community during the 1960's

If you like sports cars, and particularly sports car racing, this movie belongs in your collection so you can watch it again and again. Extra points if you like Ford or Ferrari, the featured brands. Its a great story, told and acted well, with wonderfully filmed racing sections. For home theater fans, multiple demo quality sections are included for picture as well as sound. A very worthwhile purchase.

Thoroughly enjoyable and interesting, and so unlike most other auto racing movies. And to think that the characters portrayed are real people. I especially enjoyed the scene where the head of Ford went for a ride with Carroll Shelby, and who stated initially that he was born to be in a race car, and then was terrified to death during that experience. I watched the movie a second time immediately it was so good !!!

A fantastically entertaining true story of the car that beat Ferrari at its' own game. Well told, well acted and well directed, this was a movie I found myself really enjoying. The Fort GT was my favorite car as a child racing fan and seeing the story behind it's creation told so entertainingly well was a real treat. The 4K Blu-ray, by the way looks absolutely spectacular! I highly recommend this above average disc.

Big car guy, love Shelby and what he did for, not just racing, but the automotive world. Awesome to see a story about Ken Miles also, was such a great driver who understood all aspects of how to make a car go faster. I personally would've loved seeing more about the original design process of the GT40 before it got on track, but the movie has to be a watchable length.

The real life story this movie portrays happened when I was a baby, but because my father was a racing fan, a Ford Man and loved Shelby, this story is one I’ve been told my whole life. Thrilling to see it come to life on the screen! If you enjoyed any of the Fast N Furious installments but thought they might lack in reality, you will thoroughly enjoy Ford v Ferrari! Excellent cinematography in this movie, with emotion and a touch of sadness. I highly recommend for Action and Race fans!

To do a movie with raging V-8, and V-12 engines, tires screeching and more justice you need a High end sound format. Dolby Atmos to the rescue! Do see Shelby blue and Ferrari red gleaming in the sun... You need 4K UHD If you love this movie, then you will love this addition, IT DELIVERS!!!! Bonus features are good but with as much history behind a film like this you always want more. If you a race fan, this is a must own movie, it will not disappoint!

This show is great even if you know the story this movie tells such an amazing story and just makes you think different about everything. I love that it is not like the current movies coming out this show is just so Real. It is set back in the time period but done so great and the story is just so truly amazing it really makes you feel like you were there. I recommend that everyone watch this film it is truly great it has been so long since I have enjoyed a movie this much.

Bought his feature film in 4K, and it looks excellent. The film itself is well worth watching, whether you like racing cars or not. It's also about how men behave in groups, a study really. Finally, it's one of the best father and son films I've ever seen. And there's a lady in the film who makes this all work even better, so it's also a family film.

This is an entertaining movie about the time Ford decided to beat Ferrari on its own turf and at its own game. The audio and video are demo worthy on this disc. The move doesn't feel long at all and moves along quite quickly. Based on the true story (it's a movie so of course there are liberties taken).

First off, I am NOT a huge fan of racing movies, so this movie flew under my radar for the longest time. However, this blew away my expectations! Plot is engrossing, characters are interesting, and the racing scenes are intense! Regarding the disc itself, the picture is simply superb and the sound mix shines. Give this a shot even if you’re not super into racing movies. You won’t regret it!!
