My sister decided to pick this up and watched it . I'm very surprised this movie is still good I wasn't sure about it but I'm glad we got it.

I always did love "Forrest Gump" an d the new 4K looks great. I know some people called this a simple film and felt it should not have one ALL those Oscars, but I disagree. It's actually more complex and thoughtful than many people think, and the performances are outstanding. Actors all great. Between the mix of comic elements, sad elements, and a truthful store of a simple minded, but good man, this is a feel good move, that always bring me tears and smiles. Well worth a 4K purchase.

This is a must own classic however Paramount should've released this steelbook, which the design is a bit on the bland side, with a 4K disc

I'm very particular about what to add to my 4K UHD library, and I chose to add "Forest Gump" because it's a classic movie with the amazing Tom Hanks. The movie is fairly old, but the xfer to 4K is pretty decent. Video quality is generally good and sharp, though some colors seem a bit off. The audio quality is surprisingly good, especially in the battle scene with jets and explosions. The DVD is a worthwhile addition to my Library.

Was afraid it could have been a box of chocolates, but I got exactly the activation I was looking for. Blu-ray is fine too

Great upgrade from my old blu ray copy. Remastered sound and picture. Nice steel book but no artwork inside which is a bummer.

One of the all time great movies. The 4k picture is excellent and the soundtrack is also very good. Highly recommended.

Love Forest Gump, the picture quality is superb. Wish there was inside artwork, but it's okay. Definitely worth a buy.

It's one of those movies I'll always cherish, and I'm so happy I can add it to my steelbook bluray collection. Tom Hanks is amazing, along with the characters and other actors in this movie. I'm 26 right now, and can't wait until my sons old enough to watch and enjoy this movie. It is one that I believe will never need remade, but you know how hollywood works. Great picture, sound, and a beautiful unlikely somewhat uplifting story. A drama I appreciate just as much, if not more, each time I watch it.

It never made it to me, got lost in the mail. Best buy was unable to send a replacement. Guess I bought the last one in the western hemisphere. Cutomer service is better at Kmart, and they just closed their last store last week. But the movie, I already have it on dvd...just trying to expand my 4k collection. Its a great, one of a kind, masterpiece of a film. Just don't buy it at Bestbuy.

This is still one of Tom Hanks best movies, They need to invest a little more in a more pleasing 4K transfer though

Great steelbook at a reasonable price. The VUDU digital code came with the steelbook is for UHD which is great.

The movie is a classic, but the sound is not up to the 4k picture quality, despite it being in Dolby Atmos.

No one movie tells the story and heart of America quite like Forrest Gump. It is a heartwarming story of a boy with a slight mental handicap and his journey to manhood and to find himself. This movie is a love story, a war story, a comedy, a drama, a tragedy, and an inspiration all at the same time. Forrest is such a loveable character that everyone can relate to. He turns the "deep" furrows of life into matter-of-fact events, and explains life in the simplest of phrases: "Life is Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get" and that's the same with this movie.

Forest Gump is a memorable movie for all ages and different generations. The favorite quote "Life is a box of chocolates." Means life in it's self is handed to you, but you will never know what your going to receive in return. When I watched the movie in my teens, I didn't exactly know what this quote means, as time went on I figured it out; everyone's meaning of life is different. There is plenty of laughter, greatest moments, and excellent story telling, in which makes you want to watch again. I hope you enjoy the movie without spoilers :)

I have just finished watching Forrest Gump blu-ray (Sapphire Series) and am very impressed with the improved picture / sound quality over the collector's edition release. The new special features are worth the purchase alone. Especially enjoyed the new "Art of Screenplay Adaption" feature and "An Evening with Forrest Gump" at the UCLA (55 mins). As a purist, my only disappointment is that the "Through the Eyes of Forrest Gump" documentary (30 mins) is the one archive featurette that has not been retained from the 2 disc dvd.

Loved this movie the first time I saw it. This BD has amazing pictures and sound. Well worth the cost.

I enjoyed watching it. Tom Hanks did great acting. Especially, I love to collect this steelbook.

Nice to have a steelbook and remastered blu ray of this classic film. The price was great as well.
