The TV has a great picture and sound. We have it mounted on the wall in our rec room. The geek squad did a great job on the install and explaining the features of the TV. They arrivied on time and exceeded all of our expectations. This was to replace our previous model that went out and could not be repaired. Thankfully we had the 5year warranty. The process for the exchange was painless.

If your looking to cut the cord so to speak, then I would recommend sling. It’s fairly priced, channels have good picture quality and the live is like any cable box. Only down side is menu is a bit hodge podge all over but you get used to it and the channel selection could be better for either of the packages.

Love my new LG 55 inch C8 television. The picture is outstanding even when not watching 4K programs. Makes Netflix movies so much better with the brilliant colors and sharpness. The voice activated remote is outstanding and very simple to use after a little practice. The gallery app is great when u r not watching tv as the scenery is very soothing. Anyone interested in a new tv must have the salesman show u this feature. I like the sound quality and for normal programming I don’t need the soundbar. Still learning about this tv, but what I know so far this is a very advanced television. The only issue is that I like the picture on this tv better than the picture at movie theaters. If only I could make good movie popcorn.

Sling is a good streaming service if you already have a way to get your local channels. The Blue and Orange package combines to give you all of the most popular channels and ESPN. The interface could be better for browsing, but is not a deal breaker. Would be a great service if they would offer local stations.

the code is only printed once So use email only which I Assume Will be added there (ask about this). If you do paper or paper and then email, the email itself won’t have any code so if you lose it you lose the free month code. The sling tv otherwise is nice and better than regular tv usually however you might not always get high resolution during events when the network gets super busy.

I bought this for my kitchen. I like the TV with the exception every time when it turns on you have to choose from the cable box, antenna, or USB input. I haven't found anyway around this. This forces me to turn on the TV with the remote that came with the TV instead of using the cable box remote as I cannot find a button on the cable box remote that will allow me to choose the cable box.

Sling offers a good array of channels to watch through your internet connection. The faster the connection, the better chance for good picture. The only thing thatmay be a downgrade from cable is that, for example, if too many people are watching a football game, the signal will buffer and freeze once every five seconds or so, forcing you to reset the app. Otherwise, it works well.

We are trying Sling because we plan on dropping cable and a 30 day free trial came with our new tv. Because we only have a Prime and are used to using our cable tv provider, we are finding it isn’t as easy to use. I think this is just because we have watched tv the same way for so many years and it is hard to change our ways. Time for a change and looking forward to cutting the cord!

The Apple Care insurance is high enough, I don't like the fact that you also have to pay a service fee as well. If I had not promised to buy the system for my son, I would have purchased a less expensive windows laptop. In addition, with a previous MAC Book Pro purchase, there were defects with the screen, resulting in two separate replacements, and a keyboard replacement as well. /rtb

Best Buy made buying experience pleasant. There were employees to help and guide you. We had tv installed by Best Buy’s Geek Squad. They arrived on time and installed the tv over our fireplace perfectly. Also explained features etc. The 55” Samsung tv itself is not the finest quality tv we ever bought, but for the price it’s a good deal and works just fine. We would rate it a 4 star.

Everything comes via the internet now, so why not TV? SlingTV is the closest, working, a la carte-esque option available in my area, and it works great with only a few caveats. 1. I bought an AirTV to integrate my OTA channels in with the SlingTV offerings which is fantastic UNLESS you are using SlingTV via a PC because for whatever reason, AirTV integration is not supported on Windows. But pretty much all the other cord-cutting media are supported so it's a minor setback that I hope Sling will resolve. 2. The single stream availability for the Orange channels is annoying and does occasionally cause a problem when two people in the house happen to want to watch the same thing but in different rooms.

Just cut the cord on two cable boxes in favor of streaming. I am using Roku. Several free offers come with this streaming option, including Sling TV. It will take awhile to get used to all that streaming has to offer but so far I like the options available. I have been advised to watch costs associated with different apps or I could easily end up paying more than I do with cable.

The 30 day free SlingTV trial that came with the purchase of our new TV was great! We had been contemplating cutting the cable but didn’t want to bounce between all the different options available. When we decided to cancel, we used this trial first and enjoyed it so much we kept it. It was an easy transition for cable to SlingTV. I like that I can start watching a program and if I have to turn off the TV or change to something else, the program is available on the main screen for me to pick back up where I left off. I also like how customizable the service is and how many channels are in the sports package. If you’re thinking about getting rid of cable, I would highly recommend a trial of SlingTV!
