The excitement of the new cool smart TV wore off about 15 seconds after trying to set up the SmartThings app so we could, like, actually use the TV. The remote is super simple but the amount of navigation that requires, just to change inputs or channels is completely ridiculous. It seems the only way to get around that is, supposedly, to load the Samsung SmartThings app on your phones, but, once you've done that, it refuses to allow you to connect to the TV because it is supposedly on another account, even though that account is yours and your phone is yours. It says it is notifying the "owner" to see if it is okay for you to connect to it. But, we're the owner (bought the TV brand new, we thought - at least we paid full price for it - maybe it was refurbished???) and we aren't receiving any requests or notices and, at the end of the day, still have no useful way to control a REALLY expensive damned TV. Don't waste your money unless you already know the trick to get around the SmartThings nonsense. We've contacted Samsung multiple times but have received no response. A manual or something would have been really, really nice. The "guide" that comes with the TV basically tells us to load the SmartThings app and all will be well. Not so.

49 inch lg... great picture, clear and sound is good... no complaints
