Sling is a great idea for a streaming service. Very inexpensive and access to most of the main stations people watch. My only down side to this service is the fact that it freezes a lot, Such a downer. Would still recommend

Tv is an excellent value for its price. Excellent picture with the unit I received. Very happy. however, the screen went dark within 3 weeks of ownership. There was audio but black screen. After troubleshooting with no luck I decided to exchange for another unit. Luckily I kept the original box just in case things like this. got another one at the same Best Buy store.(they took it out and had to confirm the problem which they did) the 2nd unit is working well so far. I’m hoping that tcl will honor the warranty if any further issues present themselves within the warranty period as I am not able to take it back to the store.

We never used the sling trial that came with the tv. But after doing a lot of research with sling and comparing to Hulu. To me Hulu is the better buy unless one of the sling packages matches everything you want to watch

Was not what I expected The picture is only clear from straight on if you want try to watch from an angle it’s a horrible picture even a very small angle Samsung makes a great TV but something went wrong with this model

Not sure what this really does for me at the end of the busy day. More technology to figure out. I saw T.V. advertisements for this "sling" T.V. " . Sounds like people are more interested in swinging instead of slinging.

Sling TV is not a la carte TV like they say. Everything is in packages. So if you want one channel here and another here but they are not in the same package then you have to buy two packages with a bunch of channels you won't need. Just like cable was. Also the app crashes a lot and they have issues buffering. The stream will stop randomly and when you try to restart it, it will jump ahead in the show and you've missed 10 minutes of programming. The audio is soft but the commercials are very very loud. The only plus side to this, is it is technically cheaper than satellite or cable but you have a lot more quality issues.

First off I don't like a free offer requiring a credit card to try their offer. They just want you to forget and get hit with charges the next month. I have tried sling in the past so when I went to try this 30 day offer to see if it had improved it logged me in and refused to give me the free offer. Yes I could have used a different email and password. But what's up with a free offer! That if you tried them before no offer to you. So I will stick with my Direct TV Now, that gives you way more channels for 40 a month and that includes DVR service. So dish has a lot to learn yet or become a thing of the past!

Giving 1 star due to purchasing a tv from best buy with a promised incentive of 30 days of free sling tv. Set up the tv, go to set up my free 30 days of sling tv and only offered 14 days free and theres no indication of a code or "how to redeem" my special offer of 30 days free for buying this tv and so I cant experience anything along has to offer until this is corrected. If corrected, I will post another review

As a pioneer in streaming television, Sling TV should be the best out there. However, they have fallen far behind DIRECTV NOW. Their menu lacks proper organization and their channel selection needs to be improved.

The buffering along with the additions of regular commercials is terrible. I have high speed data and watch 4K on Netflix just fine but with sling it’s so choppy. Cable would probably do a more accurate job than this

The line up of channels available for a baseline membership is mediocre at best. You’re better off with DirecTv now. I made the switch and am much happier with the service’s quality and lineup. Also, it’s less expensive.

I believe people where that I live not known a lot about this kinda product which is sling television. They more familiar with Netflix and red box.And I believe they more cheaper than cable on watching movies.

I'm on the free trial so it actually isn't costing me any money at this point. That being said, I would never keep this service as when you start to add the different channels you want it gets very expensive.

We got a free subscription with our Samsung tv but we realized it’s really just something to watch “regular tv” with...we already have Comcast so I guess it’s more so for people who don’t have a cable company.

This tv was a replacement exactly like the first purchase. BOTH tv's had most of the same problems, but the sound was the worst, sounding intermittingly like it was under water. Reading previous reviews, looks like this is a major problem with this particular tv. Also the fact that it sometimes doesn't turn on with the remote and you have to get up and manually turn the power on. Bottom line, this set sucks. Staying away from Samsung now, went to Costco and bought a Vizio. My previous tv was a Vizio and lasted way longer than predicted. Recommend Vizio, or LG or anything BUT a Samsung!

The tv colors are not that great, probably why the was no display in the store. It will have to do for now as the box has gone to the trash. Will have to see a floor display before buying at Best Buy again.

Used Sling for a bit, but there always seems to be some sort of connection issue. I've been using GoogleTV since cancelling Sling and it's been fantastic.

It came with my purchase but it was not useful for someone who does not watch so much TV, even on his free OTA channels because of no Internet service at home due to desire to avoid an unnecessary cost.

Free trial requires a credit card to sign up and requires you to agree to recurring billing. If you don't want to keep using it, don't forget to cancel the recurring billing before the trial period is over.

The idea of a free trial of Sling TV is a wonderful added benefit to the purchase of a new TV, but as I purchased the TV in store, I'm not sure how to use the free trial. Will update if I get any success.
