Unknown error with updating

The iPad will not update or even check for updates OTA. I have to connect to a pc and even then the iPad has gotten stick in a restore loop. Called Apple customer support and even they cannot explain what is going on. They ran a diagnostic and screen shared and confirmed there is an issue, but do not have a fix. I’m about to take it to the Apple Store to get them to exchange it.

This smart watch does come in handy, especially when you misplace your phone, you can just ping it from your Apple Watch

It isn’t very user friendly and doesn’t encourage working out like some of the competitors.i would pay for another competitor service. Apple Should improve this feature.
