Apple’s human editors still outperform algorithms at discovering exactly what I’m in the mood for — “New Music Mix” and “Favorites Mix” every Friday almost never miss, and genre-specific ones like “Pure Focus,” “Chill Vibes,” or “Alté Cruise” are scarily good. Apple Music Classical (included at no extra cost) is a masterpiece on its own; the search by composer, work, conductor, or catalog number is something Spotify still can’t touch.
