Consultant was on time, respectful, and thorough. He gave me a lot of options for the sound system I was interested in using. He also explained to me that utilizing the system already wired in my new condo was WAY more expensive than was necessary. However, I think reviewing price options for the items he recommended could've been more helpful because there were a few things that seem to be overpriced.

Tech was not very friendly. Suggestions were not the same received in the store. Estimate was thorough.

All I can say is that the geek squad, James and Robert who installed my 4000k HD Sony and the rest of the equipment were great. They took their time, traced lines through the attic and did a super professional job and then cleaned up after themselves. A special thank you goes to James, who spent additional time troubleshooting a couple of anomalies effecting the the units, fixed everything and insured my 900 remote was loaded with all the correct information. Whatever Bestbuy does, they should definitely keep these two employees. Employees like these are why I keep going back to Besybuy. Thank You, Art B

Had challenge of removing equipment from wired surround sound system and adapting to a new environment that had to be wireless The consultation helped me to achieve the same great audio quality with recommendations that allowed me to use all of my previous equipment with just some minor additions. f In home consultation was invaluable in helping me to accomplish what I wanted to do in an environment that was difficult. Very happy with results of following recommendations . Installation went beyond expectations. answered all my questions and made sure I was happy with all aspects. of the install. l .

The designer was a life saver for us by helping us determine what we wanted in a home theater. We changed designs half way through the process, and the designer didn't catch all of the product changes that were required with the design change; however, the designer and the installers went beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was right before the job was complete. We are very happy customers.

It was ok --- I felt I needed to know information and had to ask questions instead of him leading me.

When my washing machine broke a few months before our new house was ready, I was stuck buying a new washing machine to replace the one in our rent house. I wanted an inexpensive machine that would keep up with our busy family. This has been a great washing machine. The wash cycle is faster than my previous one. One feature I love is that I can start water and load clothes in while machine fills up. Unlike other machines, that pause the fill cycle when the lid is open. Honestly, I would have been happy with this machine in our new home, but have already purchased a much 'fancier' machine.

Liked how knowledgeable the geek squad was however I never received a follow up with an equipment recommendation.

Brenden came to our home to help us assess the required Video/Audio amplifier and soundbar options to go along with an upgrade 4K UHD TV opportunity. We have an unusual great room styled main entertainment room. Brenden was knowledgeable and timely, and was a great help to us in determining key items for our continuing research into our entertainment area upgrade.

I never received my official report and feedback on the in home consultation. The consultation itself was excellent. I was told no need to take notes on consultation as a summarized report would be provided. It was never received. I sent an email to best buy stating such and never heard anything. I'm still looking for the report and hope this review will help make that happen.

These guys are pros! I hired them to wire 2 rooms for music/radio including the tuner/amp/CD exchanger and wall volume controls. I also hired them to mount my big screen TV and hook me up to Amazon Fire and Playstation Vue. They arrived with everything they needed, knew exactly what to do and how to do it, worked well together as they proceeded to accomplish each step of the install. They explained thoroughly how everything worked and they were respectful of my home and careful to clean up and put furniture back in place. I would use them again in a heartbeat!!

The consultant tried to up-sell me with more services than I asked for. I received the quote via email and he added more items to the quote than were needed. Once I received the quote I told him exactly what needed to be on there and asked him to send me a new quote. I did not receive any response After a few attempts to contact him, I was finally was able to get in touch with him. I told him what needed to be removed and asked him to send a new quote. He did, and it was wrong again. Sent him an email back saying it was wrong and to re-quote. I never received a response back. Finally had to go to the store and have them adjust it.

We received useful information from Ruben Correa about how to set up our home media center. He recommended a Vizio LED Smart 3DTV, 240 Hz, 50", a Samsung Smart Blu-Ray player, a Logitech Harmony Ultimate 15 device remote to coordinate with the devices in our media closet, & an Insignia 200 W 2.0 channel stereo receiver to amplify music through our built-in ceiling speakers. Although this is a costly purchase, along with all the cables & installation fees, the result will be an awesome home media system that we will enjoy for many years. The cost of the consultation was discounted from our purchases.

Patrick's assessment and help in ordering was outstanding. Lance and his coworker worked hard on the installation. He showed us the basic use of the new all encompassing Logitech Harmony Ultimate but the thing really requires a CLASS. We had an awful time with it but have finally struggled through. A very unpleasant experience. BUT the new LED TV is fantastic and worth all the trouble.

The polite young man from Best Buy who came to give me a price for wall installation of my flat screen TV should have taken a bit more time to REALLY look at what needed to be done. His recommendation was hundreds of dollars more than I had to pay a local handyman to do the job. The handyman actually LOOKED CAREFULLY behind the TV to see what was there.

We booked a Geek Squad consultant regarding installing hidden speakers and hooking up our existing system in a newly built house. He arrived on time, listened as we explained our requirements, and answered our questions. He was courteous and professional, and delivered a quote in a short period of time. It was clearly understandable. He took the pain out of planning this part of our move.

Geek Squad arrived late by 4 hours but stayed until nearly 10PM to complete installation and owner education. Next day system didn't work. Turned out the Panasonic Blu Ray was defective. Geek Squad returned following working day to install new Blu Ray. So, they more than made up for the initial late appointment. I will use them again and would recommed them -- and Best Buy -- to others.

If you're not an electronics expert like me, but want expert advise, take advantage of the in-home consultation. The tech reviewed current components that still work, looked at lighting and distances, and confirmed wiring in place before giving me three different price point options to consider. Even if I didn't buy anything, the information was worth the price to me. In the end, I kept my speakers and blu ray player, but undated my TV and receiver based on their in home recommendations and then a follow up side-by-side demonstration in the store.

the guy that came out was helpful some of the products are not working like they are supposed to though

Dustin Bruno was excellent in both consultation and TV wall mount installation. He was knowledgeable, conscientious in attention to detail, and genuinely concerned that we should be happy with the outcome. Dustin definitely represents Best Buy well and personifies the obvious Best Buy philosophy of customer service first. Because of our experience, we will definitely be Best Buy customers when it comes to other needs. Accolades to his assistant Sasha, who was polite, friendly, and an important part of the installation team.
