Second time using Geek Squad. Great install and setup of wall-mount LG HD-TV, LG Blue Ray, and Harmony Remote programming. Picture on TV was outstanding and remote makes life easy for family to use all functions. First Blue Ray was defective and Geek Squad 3rd Party would not return and Geek squad came thru and replaced unit and set up. I would definitely use them again.

We just moved into a home that already had wiring set up for surround sound and more speakers throughout the home. Greg came out and made sure everything was ok, and was up to code. He was highly knowledgeable, and took great care in listening to what our needs were. He then met us in the store and went over all of the items he recommended and why. I felt he had hit the nail on the head with everything and used all of what we already had, along with adding a few new "toys" :-)! He didn't try to sell us anything we truly didn't need and I really appreciate that!

I can't say enough good things about the technician who consulted with us and then came back to set up our whole system. Friendly, knowledgable and patient when explaining it all. However, the installation appointments kept being cancelled and rescheduled when equipment we purchased didn't arrive as scheduled. The automated system got very confused. Thank heavens the section supervisor had me contact him directly and he kept me informed all the way. Kudos to your team, but it would be great to work out the scheduling automation.

The install team did a great job working through a number of physical challenges with the room. I found the knowledge level of the consultation and the install team to be very good. The listened and displayed pride in the work. The picture on the TV is outstanding. Extremely clear picture, but does not show the over-saturation that leads to a less than lifelike picture. The depth of the image is stunning. Good crisp sound from the speakers. Needs the support from the subwoofer to round out the sound spectrum. The speakers show good responsiveness across the entire range.

Had someone come out to give me an estimate of the the costs of installing a projection system. He looked at where I wanted it to be installed and after looking and taking some measurements he or someone stated that he would get back to me but no-one ever did. I tried to contact geek squad about it and got the same response.

free consultation was excellent with location of tv wall mount and tv agreed upon. actual installation was to provide 30 minute notice so someone could be at vacant apartment with workers. Not done. workers came without notice, installed tv wall mount to low on wall! by the time I found out, it was to late! Very unhappy

The consultant listened carefully to my needs and wishes. Asked lots of questions to ensure everything was covered and understood. He never tried to upsell or pressure me to buy something I didn't want. He gave me a great bundle price on installations services and when he discovered the tv stand I wanted had to be special ordered, he offered me a more expensive and higher quality one at the price of the original. I would definitely use the service again were I to ever completely build a new system.

My basement has the "new" Magnesium oxide double panel wall board. Not traditional drywall with wood studs. So installation of a 65" TV on this no stud magnesium wall board was tricky. Tony G. and Bryan K. were able to use 6 inch long toggle bolts (butterfly toggle bolts). to install my 65" Sony TV. They tested the bracket 1st before hanging the TV. I don't want to jinx it, but so far, the TV seems stable. They did a good job with cables also. Tony also had really good advise for hanging my speakers for my surround sound system.

The products chosen by the designer Geek did not all work together. He also missed things like cables that we had to buy from the installers. The installers were incredible and took the time to do the job right. If it had not been for Eric, we would have felt we wasted more than $5000. He worked hard for eight hours without a break.

The in home consultation team were knowledgeable and provided an acceptable proposal. The install technicians did a good job, on time except when it came to pair the Samsung remote keyboard to the Samsung Smart TV. Tuns out that the keyboard supplied was not comparable with my TV. The installers them said it was my reponsibility to take back the keyboard and get one that works. That is not my idea of customer service. Best Buy should have offered to bring the correct keyboard and install it, not make me go back to the store. I did not specify and provide the keyboard, Best Buy did. However after many unsuccessful phone calls, I did exchange the keyboard at the store and everything works. Why Inconvenience the customer when Best Buy makes a mistake?

The Best Buy consultant was great, explained thoroughly the technical requirements, took the time to review all my concerns, and I was very impressed with their knowledge and recommendations, was not a sales pitch at all, I researched the recommended equipment, and other technical aspects of our conversation after we met, it was all verified, and I am satisfied and will be moving forward with their particular recommendations for a home theater system, TV, speakers, receiver, remote, etc...

Way too pricey for simple job. All other experts are way less. Guy spent about 5 minutes talking to me and left. Sent me a ridiculous quote.

Wish the wiring would have been hidden more. But otherwise happy with overall installation.

The in home consultation was excellent. I was considering a significant upgrade to my 10 year old flat screen and purchase of a sound bar. The Geek Squad consultant evaluated my existing but non functional home theater components and explained that I could easily eliminate a sound bar purchase and bring everything back to life. The result is an excellent system for our needs. With our new universal remote, the system is very easy to use. We could not be more pleased with Best Buy as far as price and the Geek Squad performance.

This consultation was well worth the time and cost! A very helpful representative came to our house to help us decide the best sound system for our setup and needs. After looking at our current wiring and discussing with us in detail how we needed to use the system, what we wanted, and what we could do without - he gave us a great recommendation. When we returned to the store to purchase the item, the cost of the consultation was deducted from the purchase. Excellent service! Thanks Best Buy!

I was extremely happy with the in-home consultation I received from Best Buy. Being somewhat of a DIY-er, they did an excellent job of helping me deciding how I could make the best use of what I had in my home, and move forward with the best new technology, in a phased plan, so I didn't have to suffer through the sticker shock of doing everything all at once. This willingness to develop a long term plan, and Best Buy's low price guarantee, has made me a customer for life. I'm very happy with Best Buy's customer service.

We genuinely liked the onsite consultant and the products that were advised and purchased. Unfortunately, after that, the experience went downhill. We received incorrect information for our contractor to place the electrical outlet and conduits correctly for the TV and HDMI cable. This caused extra expense, time, labor, and frustration.

From the initial free home consultation through the installation everything was very professional. The wall mounted my Sony 65"flatscreen tv, set up my new marantz receiver, rewired my rear surrounds, and set up my universal remote. They took the time to discuss and explain every step and different options. They kept the site clean throughout the job. They spent a bit of time adjusting the sound levels to make it was perfect and explained how to use the whole system. Great experience.

We invested in having a consultation before our purchase of a new TV. The consultant was great. He knew his products. We asked and he answered. The new Samsung TV is just perfect. The real icing on the cake was the installation. Our two installers were the BEST. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and personable. They even gave us their cell number when they left, in case we had questions or problems later. In ths day and age of lousy customer service they were the exception to the rule. I would have them back in my home any time.

I cannot say enough positive things about the in-home theater consultation! Sam (who has done consultations for us before) is very knowledgeable and helpful. His expertise made the set up of my new home theater and housewide sound system very enjoyable and stress free. And if you buy anything over $100, the consultation fee is applied to the sale, so if you are serious about making a purchase, the consultation is free! I would never want to set up a home theater without this service.
