He was supposed to give me written recommendations so I could choose what things I wanted to do now. I guess I will have to find someone else.

I received a courtesy phone call from the geek-squad agent stated his ETA. My appt. was scheduled b/w the hours of 8am-12pm, however the initial ETA time stated by the agent was not followed through and he arrived 45 minutes late from his "ETA time" and consequently he arrived 35 minutes late from my appointment schedule (arrived at 1235pm). The consultation took 2 hours total and I had to keep asking him what supplies I needed specifically since I was providing all necessary supplies for my in-home theater installation (speakers, wire molding, speaker wire, accessories for the wire molding). The agent was professional during his consultation and knew what he was talking about. However I was least impressed with him not being on time for my consultation appointment. He had also mentioned, since we was late, that I would receive a 10% discount from his tardiness but he didn't add that in in his consultation report nor did I hear a response from him about that discount.

A NightMare!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On Sept 10, 2014, I bought $3,520.86 of home theatre equipment from a Best Buy "System Designer" by the name of Hollie Wilson. When Geek Squad got there, they discovered that what Hollie Wilson had planned would NOT work! I had to go return some of the items and was asked to find and buy other items that I might need so they can install my home theatre. Much time and many trips later, after I did a lot of running around time, I cannot get Hollie Wilson to respond back and re-schedule installation. I went to Best Buy store and the manager of the store contacted Hollie Wilson. I then got an email from Hollie saying she is looking into it. That was the last time I ever heard from my supposed consultant. I was now left with a TV, DVD, cables and all kinds of equipment laying around the house without anything working! Many calls and emails and in store complaints did NOT get me anywhere. I filed 2 complains with the Best Buy 888 and 800 telephone numbers zero answers! Finally, one of the 888 operators got me connected with Geek Squad. Almost one month later, Billy Cumberland from the Geek Squad came out and after still more returning and buying new correct equipment, got the system finally hooked up and working! This was truly a "Nightmarish" experience. It left me, the customer without knowing what to do and how to proceed. My supposed "consultant" Hollie Wilson just stopped responding once I've paid in full for all the equipment that she suggested and purchased. The 2 888 and 800 telephone numbers, operators says they are "corporate" and can do little to help except file complaints for me. When I went to talk to the store manger at Perimeter Way, she tells me to "talk to the General Manager from the store I purchased the equipmentt!" which is that store! One of the WORST experience I've ever encountered!!!!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the installers did a professional job apart from 1 damaged camera that still needs to be repaired, i did not like the idea of having to contact a customer care place to make the system work, would have prefered to have had set up done in the home by the installers but Swann were very professional and fixed any issues we had overall it was a very good installation and set up

Took a while to get everything resolved

Reciever recommended did not support bi-amping and zones properly. Also had issues with bad HDMI port on reciever. After two additional service calls I returned for different receiver - the final installer (George) did a great job and stayed with it till everything was resolved.
