the Geek squad came to my house but never got back with me with an estimate. this was a BIG waste of money.

When the Geek Squad consultant left our home, we expected an email within a few days outlining what we needed to purchase to complete our system as promised. He advised everything was in-stock in store and we could even purchase over the phone. Many weeks later after calls from us, we were told the items we needed were not normally sold in the store and that we needed a consultation from the high end audio/theater rep that Best Buy uses. We reminded the consultant that he was giving us this conflicting information after weeks of waiting and repeated phone calls. He handed the phone off to the rep who was clueless about the situation. After speaking with the rep we agreed to allow him to come to our home because we did not want to waste the consultant fee we had paid. He promised to call back within a few hours with a time he could come to our house to make sure exactly what we needed and we have never heard from him, the Geek Squad, or Best Buy again. We are asking for a refund. What a waste of time!

proposal did not come on time as stated. I had to contact and request. cost of the final recommendation was more costly than I had anticipated.

I'm building a new home theater system and signed up for a free consultation to help me figure out the best setup possible. I gave them my info and setup a day and time. I waited and never heard from them. It turns out, they rescheduled my appointment without telling me for the following week. I waited, and again I hear nothing. At least this time, they called me later that day to reschedule AGAIN! Poor customer service, poor handling of scheduling, and just poor way of handling my business. If they can't even handle a simple conversation, why would I trust them to handle several thousand dollars worth of equipment and setup. I would suggest you look elsewhere for home theater components and installation. Hope this helps someone!
