YouTube will never be Premium
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For me, YouTube has always been a take-it-or-leave-it streaming platform for entertainment. There are a lot of weeds one needs to navigate through to actually find something of significant quality worth watching. Upgrading to Premium cuts through those weeds some but not entirely. It’s funny, but when YouTube Red launched, I predicted it wouldn’t last. Then Cobra Kai surprised everybody. It’s a great show and that’s why it’s now on Netflix and YouTube Red is no more. Now YouTube Premium is here, and quite frankly it should be the standard for the wasteland of entertainment that is YouTube. Instead, YouTube has drawn a line between the free junk content it offers and junk content without commercials. It is really worth the money to upgrade to Premium when what you’re getting is still just YouTube. No, it’s not. Spend that money on any of the other streaming platforms where the content is actually worth watching.
