The convenience of being able to listen to podcasts with the screen off and not having to go through commercials every 5 minutes is amazing! Well worth the price

Plus you get access to free YouTube premium on top of that.

Worth it

It's less than $20/mo for a family of 6 and makes YouTube infinitely more enjoyable. There are workarounds to not having ads, of course, but IMO the cost of YouTube Premium more than pays for the convenience of not being required to figure out those workarounds on each YouTube client/platform
