A Sweet Reprieve from Incessant Ads
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In the past year or so, YouTube has seemingly increased its use of ads to an exponential degree, often including ads that are actually long than the videos they're attached to, adding ads to videos that are essentially ads themselves, and forcing ads onto content producers' videos without their input and without providing them with any of the associated income. This extended free trial has spoiled me deeply, to the point where I'm not sure what I'm going to do when it expires. YouTube Premium is absurdly expensive considering what it offers, especially compared to other streaming services. While YouTube Music is nice and I've occasionally benefitted from being able to play videos on my phone with the screen off, it's hard to rationalize such a considerable expense, but man, not having to suffer through ads has been nice.
