What would happen to the air in your refrigerator if it was not replaced every six months? I know if I put diced or sliced onions inside they still smell up the refrigerator. I replace the filter just in case it really does something and to put an end to the replace now light that goes on each time the door opens to remind you that it needs replacement, Just to play devil's advocate where does all this bad air come from?

Although the LG refrigerator, I purchased them for less than five years ago, had a bad compressor although under a 10 year warranty, it will cost me $500 for the service fee to fix it! Not happy with LG at all.
