1st Fridge w/Air Filter

I replaced it twice at this point, but i could only tell j needed a new one because the indicator on my fridge said i needed to change it out. I've never owned a refrigerator that used an air filter, and I can't tell that having one on my new LG fridge is actually necessary. I can't say the interior of my fridge smells any better than my previous non-air filtered fridge. But the flashing indicator bothers me, so I'll co tinue to replace it.
