We started buying pre-shredded cheese to save time awhile back. Although we got used to it over the years, it really does taste like crap. This attachment was expensive, but worth it for a big family who prefers to shred their own cheese. Also, I imagine cabbage, cucumbers and other veggies work as well since they advertise it!
