The first thing I did to test this product out, was to run potato, carrots, and parsnips through. The thickness was exactly what I was looking for. This defiantly saves your fingers from cramping and the prep work short and sweet.

Works like a charm! Highly recommend. Saves tons of time when you have 2 pounds of cheese to grate

If you have a Ktchenaid mixer, get it. Save time on prep work.

everything disassembles and washes up super nice. the only downside is there's always a "chunk" of cheese that doesn't get shredded and gets stuck between the inner (rotating) barrel and the outer (fixed) barrel. no matter what i try there's always a piece that gets stuck in there.

This was a christmas gift for my wife (it's what she asked for) and when best buy put it on sale for christmas I just knew I had to get it for her. When she opened it up christmas day I had no idea how happy she would be for getting it but she hugged it and yelled with excitement.

I’ve always hated grating cheese and we eat a lot of it! So this attachment has been a lifesaver. It sucks that softer cheeses get a little stuck but it’s nothing terrible and it’s hard to hand shred softer cheeses anyways.

My wife has used this more than anything. Making ice cream as I post this. You can't ask for a more reliable mixer and best thing is there is attachments for everything! Every attachment is simple to put on and take off and clean. Once you use one you will tell yourself why didn't I buy this long ago!

One of the best additions I've made to the kitchen I use it for everything recently purchased the cheese grater and that works well. I would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to make life in the kitchen easier.

I bought this to make shredding cheese faster and easier and it does the job well. I haven't tried the slicer yet, but I'm looking forward to using it. It is also very easy to clean.

Good, not perfect. Expensive for what you get - some generic brands are available for half or less the price at other retailers. It slices and shreds. Soft things get stuck easily when shredding, which means cleanup is a little harder and sometimes you have to clean mid-way through shredding because the holes are all clogged. Good for what it is, but not great. If you shell out $100-200 for a good food processor that can shred and slice, you probably don't need this. But the benefit is that it is relatively compact and just adds right on to your existing machinery.

Artisan Mixer is a professional quality Mixer from Kitchen Aid,I used it to make mashed potato with blended turnips added ,half and Half,with real low sodium butter,works great I strongly recommend this product for baking chores and other uses,I also purchased an attachment

I love the fact that my hands don't have to hurt just to have grated cheese or sliced veggies. It is an arthritic person's dream!

The additional devices such as this Shredder / Slicer makes this a must for the person who loves to cook and be creative in the kitchen. Why buy packaged shredded cheese when you can make your own cheese mix? Pizza, Tacos, cheese dips just got easier and Ham salad and chicken Salad too!

This attachement seems sturdy and well put together. It installs easily, and switching out the blades is simple and convenient. I haven't had much opportunity to put it through its paces. I have used the fine grater for parmesean cheese, and it made short work of it.

Always get the large cheese in bulk. This thing is great with the mixer. Saves the hands and carpal tunnel.
