waste of your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 units 2 years and a month ago for my family and got the 2 years extended warranty. I had it installed by best buy and I noticed that even in the very beginning, he noise was quite bothersome. In those 2 years we only used them during the summer time. ..probably 3 months worth of use in total. Last week when I turned it on it would not work. same thing with the other unit in my sons room. Called the GEEKsquad and they said they cant do anything with warranty because it expired few days ago. I have to pay if I will have it service...I won't recommend this particular air conditioner..It's a waste of your money.

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I felt the need to let consumers know not to purchase this unit. We have had several window ac units over the years and this does not cool like my 8000btu unit did. We decided to upgrade to a 10000btu to cool the room faster however this is going back to BB tomorrow. If this review keeps one consumer away from this unit I have done my job.

Very loud and does not cool

Unlike what some of the 5 stars comments say, this unit is very loud and does not cool well, now even a small room. There was nothing defective with this unit; it is just plain loud and does not cool below 70 degrees.
