Just have to remember to bag the ice and place in the freezer, if having a larger supply on hand is your desire. This ice maker doesn’t keep ice, just produces it. But love the consistency and size of the cubes.

Makes a lot of ice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for over a year now. I have an old fridge with no ice maker so this is a must in our house. We leave it on 24/7 and it's still running perfectly. I have had to clean it several times and I can't get in the back where the ice is made. There is a plastic piece out back that has mold on it and I've tried using a toothbrush, straw cleaner, just about everything and still can't get to it which grosses me out. The power went out and it shut off and we didn't know for 2 days. Just in that amount of time the water tank area had mold on the walls and the plastic filter on the bottom has mold as well. I wish there was a drain plug to remove the water to clean it. I had to get a towel to soak up all the excess water and then use vinegar and baking soda to clean out the mold. I will say that the ice holding basket is extremely durable. I use the scoop to bang the ice apart all the time and surprisingly that basket hasn't broken.

The round ice maker fingers make a hollow round ice cube in a thick shape_ large or thinner small cube. When you put them in the refrig freezer tray, they'll stick together in a chunk. The icemaker bin holds about 4 cups. Plenty for a few 20 oz. drink cups. Wish I'd bought it sooner.

Drain and plug not very well thought-out; it is virtually impossible to see as needed. I quickly adapted by using meat baster to suction out unused water. The ice pellets are easy to deal with so I simply scoop them and empty into our refrigerator ice bin.

I would not recommend it, unless you buy a warranty. He did a fantastic job while it worked, but disappointing that the product would stop working so short into its lifespan
