Posted .Hey, Darling. I hate to hear your a/c isn't keeping you cool, and I can understand your concern with the noise. This model is only designed to cool a room up to 150 square feet. If your room is larger than this, you may need a larger unit, or it may take it longer to cool down. In regard to the noise, please check the installation. Posted .Thank you for taking the time to share your A/C experience, Mandy. If the room temperature is very high, the air exiting the unit may not feel cold. Air exiting the unit is usually between 17°-20°F lower than the Intake air, and may not feel cold to the touch until the room temperature is reduced. I recommend making sure the air filter is clean and that there are no blockages near the air vents. I hope this information is helpful. The air conditioner I replace was a 5000 but also and I couldn't leave that one on all night cause I would get very cold.

Over priced works horrible
