Find another AC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The 15,1000 AC is way to heavy. Holes for the side flaps are too big for the screws. Returned it for a 12,000 btu AC. Might buy another 12,000 to cool the back rooms in the apartment as the 12,000 is light enough to be handled by 1 person that is in "decent" shape. Another plus for the 12,000 was that you don't have to screw the side flaps in, they slide on. Not sure why the 15,100 was not designed like that. My personal suggestion is to buy the 12,000, 2 of them if you need it because of the weight of the 15,100 is just too much to put in & take out of a window alone.

The biggest concern was the side flaps to fill the window & the hardware to install them. All the holes were too big for the screws. Not sure how you're supposed to install them otherwise. I ended up getting a smaller unit after a return of this one which had a much easier style to install the side flaps.

Too much work to put in the window
