This is my second Frigidaire air conditioner. The first one was a small one, and i loved it, so i decided to purchase another larger one, the 15,000 BTU. This really cools nicely and is quiet. I loved the idea that you can place the remote in another room, and it registers the temperature and thermostat according. However, i have found that it needs to be placed where the eye can read the unit. If not for that i would have given it a perfect rating. Will update as i have the unit longer.

This is a very energy efficient unit. I live in a very hot area in an old house with only 115 volt outlets. Frigidaire is about the only manufacturer that makes this high of an output air conditioner that will go with a 115 v outlet. I got this unit to replace my previous Frigidaire which was a 10-12,000 btu conditioner and was physically smaller. I use this in an old door that is not a door anymore so my handyman made the opening bigger, bought some better bracket supports and built a wood bottom support frame for this unit to sit on for the part that was outside. Total time for him to do this was only three hours. Caution: This is a VERY heavy unit . Do not attempt to lift this by yourself or pick it up to put it in the window by yourself. Get help. Follow the directions and remove the temporary screws. Make sure the part of the unit that is outside is supported. COOLING: Fantastic. I went easy on it at first but now run it full blast. It cools my whole 750 sq foot house well. The real test will be when it hits 100 degrees because the 12,000 btu couldn't keep up. ENERGY BILLS: I noticed NO increase in my energy bills at all even when running any of my past Frigidaire wall air conditioning units and I am expecting the same result from this one. Through the wall units are more expensive so if you can put in a window unit I would recommend that unless security might be an issue. Great unit, reasonable price.

I bought in 2017 and this ac works very good. I wonder what cover is good for this unit?

Good ac unit for a large room. It will cool down a room fast. I little noisy but it does work good.

Surprisingly quiet for the size did not realize you had to take it apart to put it in the window only thing I did not like

Not only did this ac unit break down after 2 months (on the hottest day of the year, no less) The Fridgidare Customer service is HORRENDOUS!!! Multiple phone calls, and cancelled service appointments and Im still left with a broken AC and $400 down the drain. NEVER AGAIN! Stay away from Frigidaire
