Posted .Yikes, Amanda! I can imagine your frustration. Please make sure you are not blocking the air vents with food items in the back of the refrigerator and try turning the temperature control to a colder setting. It may take 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after changing the setting. If the issue remains, please contact us directly to schedule service. ~ Brandi

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st one the compressor was running but it never cooled. Burned another morning waiting for 2nd. Inspected new one on the truck and it was dented and the seal had a 2 inch gap away from the body. I will research a different model to purchase.

Very loud and inconsistent cooling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The owner of the place I rent bought this to replace a 25 year old GE fridge that died. Noise: The unit is louder than the 25 year old GE it replaced. It has a periodic growling sound, almost like an icemaker sound...yet it doesn't have an icemaker. Shelves: Wire shelves make it very difficult to place items like 2 liter bottles, 20oz bottles etc without them falling over. Door storage: Shelves are ok, but the barriers to hold things in...they are cheap plastic and I have to constantly push them back down into place, as they want to pop off, even when there is nothing on the shelf. Don't open the fridge door too hard, because things in the door will fall over the barrier into the floor...they need to be higher/taller. Freezer: The most inconsistent cooling/temp I've ever seen. I had to put in on the max setting to even get CLOSE to 0 degrees. Even then, the temp varies wildly. Sometimes 0, sometimes 20 degrees. Backed it down a notch, get the same thing. On the standard setting, you're hovering at spoilage temps. I do not store much in the freezer because it does not stay at 0 the majority of the time, and 0 is the recommended temp for freezing. Refrigerator: Again, wildly varying temps. No matter what setting I put it on, it struggles to maintain food at 40 degrees (which is almost spoilage level). But sometimes, it will be down near 30 and my water and soda have some iciness in them. Overall, it's better than having no fridge at all...but I would not buy one of these. Ever.

great refrigerator with a few flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this refrigerator on sale...had it on sale for about 100.00 less than their regular price on it....around 479.00 or 499.00..but right around there....delivery was quick...but it seem like the guys were in a hurry to go...even though it says its about 18 cu ft...it really only about 13 or 14 cu ft inside....smaller than advertised...but still roomy enough for me......started it up and runs good and strong...and cooled down quickly....i have this in the garage as an overflow or extra refrigerator when needed.....the energyguide say it uses only $51 a year cost...but it actually uses more...so my edison bill sent up about $20 a month.....so if you are on a budget or/and have edison like i do...then you might want an energy efficient one..those are more money .....edison is charging me about 22 cents a kilowatt for about 838 kilowatts used each month.....so i don't use it all the time...mostly on holidays...but if you have a electric provider that doesn't try to take advantage of you...you can use this year round...because it really comes in handy as a 2nd refrigerator.....but energy efficient...it is not...

Makes banging noises
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After picking this refrigerator because it was within my budget and I needed something basic plus it had a lot of reviews and was the least worst of any of the reviews I find it keeps both the refrigerator section and freezer section nicely cold. Plenty of space inside the refrigerator. The freezer is slightly small but for one or two people it's fine. I have had it a month now and each time the compressor kicks on there is a minute of loud banging noises like gears are grinding and some banging going on that seems to be coming from the top portion by the freezer area. I had to take 2 half days off from work for delivery as the first scheduled time was missed by Best Buy so right now I cannot take time off to schedule a repair person to come look at it but I hope this is not going to be a lemon or lots of headaches. You get what you pay for I suppose. I hope the banging noises do not cause it to break down and I lose all my food.

Works, Affordable, but a bit noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the shelves on the door. It has two drawers, though I wish it had more. Ice cream on my freezer door doesn't stay hard....still working on figuring that out. The fridge is also not silent. It's not loud, but you do hear it.

A little noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fridge works very well. I have never had a problem with it and it's just the right size for me and my teenage son. I read the reviews before I purchased it and there were a few about the noise. I have to say it did not make any noise at first but now it does. I really don't notice it unless I am in the kitchen but it can be a little loud at times. I got a great deal so I am not disappointed in my purchase but I did want to be honest in my review.

Posted .Hi Karenvi - We are glad you got a great deal and are enjoying your new refrigerator. I certainly appreciate your honesty. These new high-efficiency refrigerators do emit sounds that may be unfamiliar but are perfectly normal and part of its natural operating system. A few of these sounds stem from the freezer compartment fan that circulates air inside the refrigerator. A fan underneath the refrigerator helps dissipate heat from the condenser coils as well. Hope this helps and thanks again for sharing your thoughts! - CA

Complete JUNK!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st I was surprised at how noisy it was, but then very frustrated over the fact that it doesn't cool. At the coldest settings the freezer only gets down to 6 & the fridge to 36. Frigidaire says that it is within their specifications 2-8 degrees for the freezer when empty (everything you read including appliance thermometers has 0 to -10# so they will not do anything about it. I was going to return it and get a different brand, but Best Buy said that since it is over 15 days #although I initially called & complained about it prior to that) they will not refund/exchange it since I did not buy the service plan. I told him I was not offered one when I bought it, but he said there was nothing he could do. So now I'm stuck with a loud refrigerator that leaves the ice cream like mush. I will never purchase another Frigidaire & doubtful I will ever shop at Best Buy again.

Good Fridge. Not So Good Handle.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for almost a year now and it functions pretty well. It's a little noisy at times but I don't hang out in my kitchen for it's quiet atmosphere. My main problem with it is that the handle broke so soon. I don't use it all that often and I live alone so there's no reason for it to break this early on.
