Not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refridgerator because the price was right and I thought Frigidaire was a good name. Upon delivery I put a thermometer inside the fridge to see where I needed to set the dial. After a couple of days the fridge was hovering at 40 degrees, not quite cold enough for food storage, so I began working the dial to colder settings. Eventually I had the dial all the way to its coldest setting and still the fridge was hovering at 40 degrees. I called Best Buy to get a replacement and when the second one came I had the exact same experience. It just will not drop below 40 degrees. I even bought a second thermometer to put in it in case the first one wasn't working properly. They both read 40. I'm having this replaced with a different fridge from a different manufacturer.

Great Little Refrig
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this on sale for the garage. Does a great job so far with basic features. Well lit in refrig, but no light in freezer. Wire shelves, which work quite adequately for the tasking. Modern styling, if modest. Very basic controls which seem to do ok. Has managed sub-freezing temps in the garage with no defrosting of the freezer or freezing of the refrig items. A great little utility.

Loud and Noisy Fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this refrigerator for less than one month and it has already started producing a loud squeaking noise when opening both the freezer and refrigerator. Customer support has informed me to just apply WD40 which should work but they didn't seem to understand that having issues within the first month of use shouldn't be common. Also the refrigerator is very loud when running. I have read this in reviews before but I was hoping that it wouldn't be an issue and I found out that it was. Overall the function is decent which is why I gave it 2 stars but the lack of all around quality and lack of customer support made me deduct the three stars.

Just ehhhh.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this fridge as an extra that we would keep in the garage. Within the first week, I saw some frost on the freezer door. I also noticed that things like ice cream were not hard frozen even though we had it set on the coldest setting. Then, three separate times I went out to the garage and the freezer door was standing wide opened. It seems that if you shut the refrigerator door too hard, the seal doesn't hold and then when the freezer runs to try to maintain its temperature, the door opens. Repair is coming next week so we'll see. Also, I wish I had thought about wire versus glass racks. The wire racks are flimsy and small food containers fall over often. I wish I had spent a little extra and gotten something nicer.

Not a garage refrigerator.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this model as a second refrigerator for our garage. We said when we bought it that is what we were going to do. After having it a month we were not happy with the way it was cooling. We called the Geek Squad, a repairman came out and said there was a part he could install that will help modulate the temperature. He ordered it and when it came in he came back to install it. The part would not work with this model. The Geek Squad repairman called Frigidaire and they told him that there was no way to convert this refrigerator for the garage. We called Best Buy and told them what happened. Because we had purchased the Geek Squad protection package we were able to exchange it for a garage ready Frigidaire. (Model FFTR1821QW) We purchased a Geek Squad protection package for that one, too! Best Buy was wonderful - no hassles. Recommendation: Buy a Geek Squad protection plan for all your major appliances.

Lemon lemon lemon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cooling problem from day one. Called Best Buy, and they wouldn't do anything for us because we didn't buy the extended warranty. Called Frigidaire and they forwarded us to a local warranty service company. They've been out seven times to our house (and counting), and the problem still is not fixed. By now It would have been far cheaper and less aggravating if they had simply replaced the entire fridge. We've lost food, time on the phone, and time having to wait around for the never-ending repairs. The latest problem is that they ordered a replacement door, which arrived in damaged condition. They re-ordered, with the same result, two more times. Now we're waiting for a fourth door, which is on order. Frigidaire customer service is a joke and won't work with us. They don't care about the customer, only reading off of their script and making sure that they don't spend a penny they don't have to. They refuse to replace a product that clearly is a lemon, and insist on repairing it as many times as it takes until we get tired of calling or until our warranty expires. We will never order another Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance again, or a major appliance from Best Buy.

Perfect size, decent price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refrigerator to replace a faulty old one. I've own Frigidaire for about 6 months now with no issues. I do notice that it can be loud at times but that's rarely noticed. It's your basic fridge and works as it should.

My first "real" fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally moved into a great condo in an area I've been dreaming about for a long time. There was a fridge included in the unit but it was not to my liking. I went to a dozen different showrooms and finally decided on the Frigidaire. I trust the brand and love the industrial design of the product. Frigidaire delivers tremendous value for the price.

Nice, but noisy when running
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge has an annoying and loud humming sound when running. In fact, when I originally got it, I returned the first one thinking it may be defective. Alas, the second one I got was also as irritating as the first. I live in a condo, so everything is close together so it was very noticeable. It is not a bad fridge, it worked fine, but might be best for another room or the garage, if you don't have to listen to it. I changed brands completely and went with GE, which runs normally and not noisy. Best Buy was great to deal with during the exchange, they deliver a new one in place of what you want to return without question.

Disappointed Handle Broke - will take 7 - 10 Days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased a Frigidaire fridge early July, the handle just broke off the fridge. It will take 7 - 10 bus days for me to receive a new handle. I would have expected this to last longer than a few months. It seems handles are a big issue as at first she said they were on back order. They will ship out the handle but we're on our own as far as actually replacing it or they will charge a fee. Fridge is smaller than what we would like.

Cheaply made - gasket coming off the door
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fridge has been working fine for about eight months until now. Recently, the door gasket -the cushiony part that outlines the inner edges of the door- has been peeling off, making it hard to close the door properly. Come to think of it, after the fridge first arrived, the sides had several dents. I found similar defects in the two fridges that came as a replacement, and eventually gave up asking for an exchange because coordinating deliveries was a hassle and hey, as long as my food is kept cold, does the exterior really matter? It's not like the fridge is a brand new $500+ investment. At least I now appreciate all my previous apartment owners for investing in fridges that last. Horror experiences like mine always seem to exist for online purchases so maybe you will luck out.

Great Basic Fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced the refrigerator in our rental home with this one after spending $250 for a so-called appliance repair person who couldn't diagnose a minor problem with the freezer drawer on our stainless steel LG after two service calls. Since it is a rental this appliance is perfect. Inexpensive, simple and works fine. Since it was so inexpensive we also bought the 5 year extended warranty so we don't have to worry about the fridge for another 5 years anyway.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, NOT TOO IMPRESSED BUT DID NOT WANT TO SPEND TOO MUCH, PLUS ADDING AN ICE DISPENSER IS EXPENSIVE. NO TOO HAPPY WITH THE SALESMAN EVEN THOUGH I PURCHASED 2 REFRIGERATORS AND 2 STOVES... I HAVE REC'D BETTER SERVICE AT ELSEWHERE BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE ITEMS I WAS LOOKING FOR IN STOCK.
