It frosts up easily then the frost covers the vents and it won't circulate the air and we've lost >$100 of food. The only solution is to empty and defrost it and wipe it down Even when not frosted it the freezer temp varies by 20 degrees day-to-day (I have z-wave thermometer in it to know). The problem can be seen in the placement of the vents being prone to this so it appears to be a design issue. The fridge now runs constantly and can cool only down to 54-57 degrees so is no longer trustworthy while just 6 months old. AVOID this fridge! It looks like a nice basic fridge but it can't do the basic function of keeping food cold.

Posted .EngineerS, I am dismayed to hear your refrigerator is not functioning as expected. The only thing that can cause frost buildup inside a freezer is warm moist air. Please check that the door is shutting properly, and has a good seal with the gasket. You can test the seal by placing a dollar bill on the cabinet and close the door. When you pull the dollar bill out, if the seal is working, you will feel some resistance. Today's modern high efficiency refrigerators use high speed compressors that make a humming / pulsating noise. These refrigerators will run most of the time and only stop when a defrost cycle is needed to thaw ice buildup in the freezer. Some hard surfaces like floors, walls, kitchen cabinets, and open concept living spaces, may make sounds more noticeable. You will find the normal sounds your refrigerator will exhibit are listed on page 24 in your Owner’s Manual. Not for a Kitchen Fridge

When the freezer fan is on, it makes a sound similar to a quick faucet drip hitting a tin-can that lasts far longer than I can handle. Another issue is that ice started forming around where the freezer seal touches - and I had only had the unit for a couple days when it started. The shelves along the doors feel flimsy - but I do like the wire shelving in the main part of the fridge. I called to return it today and will GLADLY wait for a different brand to be delivered! On a positive note; it looks nice & holds my food at the desired temperatures - but you get what you pay for I guess!
