I would not purchase again and am thinking about returning it. Best Buy price was outstanding and service sympathic

this p.o.s has not stopped running since it was plugged in over a year ago. Food is frozen solid though. So that's good. What a energy waste.

This is the loudest freezer I've ever owned. If it was not out in the garage I would have returned it.

Freezer quit when just under 1 year old. Very hard time getting repaired under warranty. Still have constant trouble with ice clogging drain. Doubt I would ever buy this brand again.

I now have two of these freezers. The first one is still working great. I replaced a GE that I was not at all happy with. We freeze meat and produce that we have raised and grown in these freezers so we need two of them to handle the volume. We haven't had any trouble out of either one of them. I like the way the freezer is laid out, the adjustable temperature, door alarm, and frost free features. The door is hard to open only if you try to reopen it right after you close it. You wait a minute to let it seal and it opens just fine. I would recommend this freezer to anyone.

We have used this freezer for about 3.5 years now. We have never had any issues with this freezer working the way it should. We love the large storage space, the pull out baskets, the audio alarm that sounds when the door doesn't shut tightly (great when the little ones constantly open and close the door), and the temperature of the freezer is displayed on the outside of the door. The interior light is plenty bright enough when looking for things. We have also dealt with several power outages and the freezer kept everything mostly frozen still after being without power for 6-8+ hours. We really cannot think of anything that we do not like about it. It has performed as expected and as advertised. We paired this unit with an upright refrigerator unit. When the motor kicks on, it is noticeable, but it is not too loud in our opinion. This unit has endured the wear and tear of 3 toddlers so far. This freezer also has a smooth finish rather than the rugged finish that most freezers have so it doubles as a dry erase board for us. Comes in handy for making grocery lists

Nice freezer. Tons of room. Took a few hours to cool down to 0 degrees which was expected. Love the alarm if the door is open. Temp display on the door is a real plus...we know our food will not spoil. This freezer was rated in the top ten for value and I could not find a comparable size freezer for the price.

The freezer has a dent in the side, we have left several messages to get this resolved and have not had a call back, very poor customer service!

I purchased this freezer a couple weeks ago after comparing many models & different brands. I decided this was the best value for a big freezer. I have owned many Frigidaire appliances and never have had a problem with them. I wouldn't go off of the negative reviews that some have wrote about this product. When this freezer was delivered and initially set up, it was in my garage & the temp read 90 degrees. I set the temp to 0 degrees and it cooled down within about 6 hrs. I transferred food into it and have had no problems. There is a lot of room & the baskets are nice and sturdy. As for the noise, when the compressor is running is the only time you can hear it. I don't think it is that loud but it is not in my house. I have not used the fast freeze feature nor the lock. I am very happy with this purchase and am confident that I will get my moneys worth out of it.

The freezer is a bit noisy but I knew that after reading the reviews. Since it is in our garage it isn't a problem. Other than that it is wonderful. I like the size, the arrangement inside and everything about it.

We had to replace a different brand freezer/fridge combo for our garage several months ago and decided to buy two separate units (the fridge is: Frigidaire 16.7 Cu. Ft. Refrigerator - White). First, I called Frigidaire and made sure this unit was okay for the garage which it is. As far as the noise level I cannot respond to that since it's outside. We placed a freezer thermometer inside to check the temp setting and it's keeping everything REALLY cold. I am using every shelf including the door shelves; like any new appliance (fridge, freezer, dishwasher) I had to think about how to best utilize the space but I feel that this freezer offers abundant shelf space, terrific lighting so I can actually see what's inside, and the bonus of the outside temp display. I fit extra large pizza boxes from a local pizzeria with no problem (unlike another reviewer, I put them on the second shelf from the top instead of the sliding drawer); the bottom slide-out basket is perfect for my frozen veggies (boxes and bags). Thankfully we'd kept the METAL key to our old chest freezer—it fits the lock and is much sturdier than the plastic key that comes with the unit, although I see no need to lock it. The suction is nice and tight, definitely no cold air seepage here. [NOTE: if you open and close the door and want to open it again, wait at least a minute for the "air lock" to subside for easier opening; that's a PLUS in my book.] I absolutely LOVE this freezer and would buy it again in a second. I only hope it lasts a long time.

The best value I found. Just the right size for me. Easy to operate, clean,move, etc. A great buy for the home. On time delivery. Quick set up. Cold immediately. Just what I wanted. Free delivery cinched the deal.

We replaced our old Fridgidaire with this one after 17 years. Only bought new one for $200 rebate. The lock does stink. Key pops out, cannot lock. Not good with grandkids around. Door is VERY hard to open. Suction on door is good, and I do like the temperature indicator on the outside. Noisier than the old one. You can definitely tell when it is on. Shelves on door are wasted space. Our old one had shelves all the way across - items could be arranged better. This one has limited space. Actually had to use supplemental freezer in refrigerator to store all the items we had in the old freezer when we transferred the food into the new one. The sliding drawer is another example of wasted space. Pizza boxes do not quite fit, and get jammed when trying to slide drawer out. Basket on bottom is smaller than old one. All in all, I'm not impressed. Price was good, rebate was good, but overall, I wish I had my old one back.

A great medium size freezer. The digital panel on the front is very convenient. Keeps a fairly constant temperature. Nicely organized in the interior. A good buy. No problems with the delivery or the removal of the old freezer.

This freezer has been dependable so far and keeps steady temps. There is plenty of room and the shelves make it more versatile. I don't know of anything I don't like about it.

I am writing this evaluation as the result of reading several bad reviews about the 20.6 cu. ft. Frigidaire freezer as compared to the glowing ratings received by the smaller 16.7cu. ft. Frigidaire freezer. As the result of the disparity in these ratings we purchased the larger freezer with more apprehension then necessary on November 2, 2009. The Frigidaire line is the only manufacture freezer offered in our area. However, we felt the price was reasonable, with Best Buy offering more than the other retailers. The sales help was amazing in their product knowledge and company marketing practices. We have had the product for a short time, but feel there is no reason to agonize about whether to purchase it. The feature that I appreciate most is the external temperature LCD. However, I would like to see another small shelf placed in the door. Although I cannot locate a performance flaw, the fans that create the energy savings are loud and frequent. When this can be fixed without increasing the product price I am not sure.

brought it home, hooked it up, loaded it up. It has maintained the required temp (0 degrees f) ever sense. Is a little noisy though.

Does what it is made to do keep things frozen. A nice unit quiet and a lot of room inside . Around the Holidays if there is a two for one sale on Turkeys go ahead and get them you have got the room to keep them both frozen. Our last freezer broke down after 19 years decided to go bigger than 17 cu ft. and glad we did. This is a well built Freezer.

The size is perfect for winter storage. The temperate on the door is nice. It seals really well. The sale price was really nice too.

I really like this new unit. Our last one was a bit smaller, but this one has not been packed to the gills yet. I like the drawers and the doors, because I didn't have those features in my last one. I'm still trying to figure out the best places to put everything.
