    This is just an ok air conditioner. After one summer of use it didn't cool the room as well. It did a good job while it lasted but didn't last too long.

    Don't bother, poor quality, confused for a freezer

    Piece of junk, 2 years in and it forms icicles on the inside which eventually melt and leave puddles of water on your floor you have to clean up. When the ice isn't melting, they come crashing down, making quite the sound like some one is trying to get inside your house...

    I hate this AC. It worked for last summer, It’s just a year old, I didn’t use it all Winter, and it constantly freezes up, and the air blows so little you don’t even know it’s on. Waste of money.

      Hi there, Deeschoon! We are discouraged to hear that you are unhappy with your appliance. We want to see what we can do to help. If your unit is icing on the inside coil of the unit, you will need to check a few things to prevent this. Check the filter is clean. The unit is pulling air through the filter to cool the air. A dirty filter will prevent the unit from being able to pull in air to cool. Shut the unit off and clean the filter. Wait for all ice to dissipate before restarting the unit. You should also note that nothing should be blocking the entire front (curtains drapes, furniture) of the unit or the back of the unit (this includes the louvers on the sides of the unit). Blocking the airflow will cause icing due to the inability to get proper airflow. Curtains, furniture, and other items in the home need to be moved and relocated out of the airflow. Allow all ice to dissipate before restarting the unit. Also, keep in mind that if the outside temperature is low (less than 60F) and the AC is in the cool mode, the inside coil can be supercooled causing icing. Set mode to “fan-only” until ice clears. To prevent reoccurrence, you may try changing the temperature setting a few degrees every few hours to allow the unit to maintain. Slowly dropping setpoint temp in the room over time should prevent a reoccurrence of icing. I truly hope this helps.     My old 5000 BTU seems to get colder than this model. Wouldn't recommend.

      Hi Leon! Thank you for providing us with your feedback. It can possibly take a few hours to cool the location down, depending on how hot it is in the location. Also, selecting the correct sized air conditioner for the room’s square footage is essential for proper cooling. When selecting an air conditioner, larger is not always better. If your air conditioner is the correct size for the location, we do recommend cleaning the filter and ensure that there are no obstructions over the vents.     It was quiet for about 10 mins then a loud bang then it sounded like a loud generator for about 10 to 15 mins and that cycle repeated all night and the controls are small print making it difficult to read when trying to change from fan to air.I returned it for these reasons

    Purchased this unit in June 2020 and it stopped working in today. I use it during the winter when the heat in my NYC building is too hot. It’s unfortunate that it did not last not even a year.

    I bought two air conditioners in march and hadnt gotten a chance to use them until the heatwave two weeks ago, what a waste. I have a fan that blows colder air than either one. Never again would i buy an AC from bestbuy

    My 1st AC

    Bought this AC a wk ago for my bedroom because of this heatwave & installed it, I went back outside & kept it running for about a half hr after Installation when I came back in & opened my bedroom door, it was sooooo cool, I was so happy. Its quiet, the remote is easy to use. That Eco setting I used last night & it had me worried the way it shut off, I thought the AC broke but it was the Eco Timer doing its job on that setting. Very happy I got this AC. It brings me joy whilst she sleeps

    Unfortunately the unit makes a very loud noise. We originally had it in our bedroom but had to move it our living room and replace with a quieter model due to noise.

    Does not keep up without help

    Used in my office, a roughly 12x12 room on the main floor with one sturdy door to the hallway and two new windows to the outside world. Three of the four walls are exterior, with only one getting late afternoon (post 3pm) sun. The others shaded by a large maple. I have large furniture, but lots of technology - PC with 3 new LED monitors. Positives: easy install, very light, eye appealing for a window unit, nice and simple remote, relatively quiet even on high, when it cycles it does not sound like a UPS truck. Negatives: does not cool my relatively small, well-insulated room without having the ceiling fan on turbo-prop mode. The AC fan does not feel like it moves a lot of air. The remote automatically defaults to Eco mode rather than On. Fits a narrow window. Cycles often to keep the room cool - every 3-4 minutes. Maybe my office is just too big or the unit is over rated, but I would not purchase this particular unit again and have no other room to place it. I'll get a bigger model next year and give this one away.

Proper tilting of your air conditioner will assist with the water accumulation inside your air conditioner.
