Ice can not stay in machine

You are correct, the ice storage area is not refrigerated. It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred for zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.
To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. Tip, let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.

However it doesn't work & we have to contact company which naturally you can't do on holiday. This is very disappointing to get something and try to use and it doesn't work
