It makes a popping noise when the cooling system cuts off, but its hardly noticeable. Don't put it on the same outlet as a computer, it was causing my keyboard to short out when the cooling system kicked in. The layout inside is kinda weird, but then again all I use it for is drinks.

HOWEVER, I'm not sure why, but the temperature setting is always changing. I'm not sure if getting things in and out jostles it or if it just rotates on its own (or it's the dang coworkers trying to get to me again,) but today my water was half frozen and my fruit/veggies like rocks. So convenient though!
