I tried all of the troubleshooting listed in the manual. Error still persisted. The only other option was to call for service. This is out of the 1 yr warranty, so we'll pretty much have to buy a new one.

Posted .Oh no, kariebear! I hate to hear that you have experienced an error on your appliance. This error is related to a voltage issue. The outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be with in the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. Unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions.
