We use this air conditioner in live-in a studio apartment/office. The space is long and rectangular, and the windows are set in awkward positions. I think the unit works fine, but it's loud - even when I set it on low.

The setup was not that easy. My window is 49 inches wide, the sliding window piece was suppose to fill in the gap. This would work if the piece was smaller. Once I adjusted the sliding piece to the right size, it covered the opening for the hose. I did not have tools to cut the sliding piece to size. I just used foam to stuff the window gap. To connect the hose to the window piece was not easy either. Instructions have you place the window covering in place first and twist the hose on. The hose would not hook into place. I had to take the window covering out first and line up and force the hose to twist into place. After all that, the rest of the setup was easy. The AC is not that powerful, but ut works for a small room.

We purchased this unit for our upstairs floor and it works great. Keeps the floor cool while on and for a couple of hours after it's turned off. I would recommend purchasing. It's a great buy.

My landlord recently reminded us that we weren't allowed window AC units. We looked around and this was the best unit for the cost. It's 2x our window BTUs and it works great! Easy to install.

With the price, this is a good investment. I have a central air but I do not need to cool the whole house. This is awesome portable A/C in small rooms.

I have this set up in the master bedroom and it keeps the room cool during hot summer nights when the rest of the house is hot. I keep my door closed to keep all the cool air from escaping.

My son has a large bedroom and this item works well keeping in nice and cool. Took us a little time to retrofit a window fitting for a casement window but once completed, it worked great.

With the recent heat spike, it's nice to have AC. It fits in our small living space. It doesn't cool the entire area because of a lot of walls, turns, blocking the flow of air. We've found that using this and a fan extends the cool air to fill the space.

The unit cools my 12' x 14' bedroom quickly. But I would N E V E R buy it again, for several reasons: (1) The instructions are absolutely useless. The illustrations are unclear, and there is virtually no helpful text. (2) The window kit is dumb. You're supposed to set it up so that it exhausts on the right side of the window, and you cannot flip the window kit the other way around because the grooves are different on the top and bottom of the kit. Well, what if you have the unit plugged in more to the left side? The cord is only 6' long. (3) You're supposed to screw the kit into the window sill, which makes the unit not at all portable. If you think you're going to be able to roll it from one room to another, forget it. (4) My house was built in the 1920s, but the windows are newer, probably 1990s. Even when I tried set up the window kit with the exhaust hose on the right, the kit did not fit my window correctly at all. It tilted either forward or backward, and there were several large gaps that I could not fill with the foam provided. So I flipped it around and exhausted it on the left side of the window, using duct tape to secure it. It looks awful. I can't wait until summer is over.

This unit is great for cooling a bedroom but if your in an apt and its small. It will take up valuable space in your room. I ended up taking it back because of this factor besides that it was a great device.

Works great. The only annoying part is the window setup, it's doable though. Love that it had a dehumidifier setting. A bit bulky, but easily moved from downstairs to upstairs.

I bought this one week before the heat wave hit the east coast. I run this in the large room during the day with the house AC turned off and it cools the room better than the house AC.

It's a great investment for a small room . And trust when I say bring the heat . Does its job and more . I don't worry about the heat out side . And installation is so easy like 123

Bought this when my AC started dying to make it through until the repairman could make it to the house. Only used it in one room. A little tricky to get it installed in our window.

The AC unit does one one great job, which it cool. The cons are that it leaks water from the bottom, the unit doesn't automatically turn off, so it will always be on unless you turn off. Also the low and high are about the same, so you only get one speed.

I am living in a rental apartment. And I was looking for a portable air conditioner not required to be installed in the window. So I got this unit and I am happy with my purchase.

Bought this air conditioner for my daughter , who has a overheating problem. Well problem is solved, this Frigidaire works wonderful. It keeps a 12 X 14 room extremely cold.

It's portable only for the area you are in; thus, move right, left or further into a room. But if you want to actually move it to another area, you are going to have to set it up again, making sure you set up your window again.

It's ok it's not as powerful as I thought and I have problems with the hose that goes out the window it sometimes comes off so I gorilla taped it but didn't meet my expectations

We have about a 300 sq foot space and it keeps it cool. It does have a lot of water to drain and its internal storage fills fast so its best if you set it up with its connection on the back to drain into a larger bucket.
