Posted .Hey there, Franklin. I hate to hear that your a/c isn't keeping you cool. It may be possible this model isn't large enough to cool your space. This is only sufficient for a room up to 350 square feet. If your room is larger than this, you may need a larger unit, or it may take longer to cool the room down. ~ Brandi

Had to use tape to keep either end from slipping out. Did not cool small room enough to make much difference. I will be returning it to my local Best Buy this week & purchasing a regular window unit.

Went in and bought this unit and here's the bottom line on why I don't recommend it and will be returning it (even in 90 plus degree weather) after 3 hours the bottom pan fills up and you have to empty it, however even before that it starts leaking all over the place. The hose connection to the window exhaust unit is a joke. It doesn't even fit together and all these pieces between the hose and two adapters and very poorly made. For $300 after tax I would expect so much better. But the leaking unit which ruined my carpet in an apartment I don't own is enough to say DONT GET THIS!?!?!?

The exhaust hose could be designed better for easier connection. Plastic piece for window should have pre cut sizes for smaller windows for easier install.

Posted .Oh my! Ricky, the window slider kit is adjustable to the minimum 26.6” and maximum 48.5” for both vertical and horizontal applications. No cutting is required. The typical AC unit uses refrigerant and compressors designed for medium temperature refrigeration. At lower temps, the unit can freeze up. A frozen AC unit cannot effectively cool your space and can damage your compressor. 62°F is the lowest temperature setting we offer on this model.
