does not meet my expectation on the quality of cool air i wanted to receive from it

After finding out most of the windows in the apartment I rented in April did not open and that the wooden frames were rotted and then the heat hit this week, the only option I felt would work was a portable air conditioner. Did a lot of research and found that a leading consumer magazine did not recommend portable AC units at all....but sometimes you have to go with what'll work. Checking out availability for store pick-up asap, this model and others were flying out the door so did a quick buy online and store pick-up. This unit really pumps out cool air, even on low. Noise is about what I expected, a bit loud, As with previous reviewers, the remote control must be used to work the fan speed and other features and mine only works intermittently. May be the batteries that came with unit are old, and I plan to change them out asap. My window is 28 inches wide and the slider would have had to be cut, I assume with a saw which I do not have, so I removed it and used extra insulation for the inch and half that the panel left open. The hose does pop out of the panel when the unit is moved and I had a time trying to get the metal hooks that hold the screen at the outflow and the plastic hooks that hold the hose to the window panel. I would recommend this unit. Beats a fan over a bowl of ice cubes!

This air conditioner doesn't work very well n can hardly cool 1 bedroom

Constantly emptying unit. Water comes out of the back vents.

These portable are not efficient. Window unit if possible!!

It sucks, my room never cooled down with this cooler

Runs constantly, no cycling, does not cool even at between 65 to 72 degrees. Worst is Frigidaire cannot find repair person to check out unit after three weeks of complaint.

For the price of this product, it does not cool your room well at all. I have my temp Settings at 65 and my room never gets cooler than about 75. Not worth the money.

My room is smaller than 350 sq. ft. But it's never cold in here. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone! If I could take it back I would!

Does not cool and it leaks. Not worth the money. Purchased in 2017 its sad that it only not even lasted 2 years

What a great waste of money!!! Didn't cool the room I put it in at all! My tower fan did more even when the heat index was 114 degrees!

Have it in a 9x18 room, this thing couldn't cool off an ice cube. Biggest piece of junk. And a complete waste of money.

We have a very tiny room and the unit did not cool the room. Not worth the money. Next time we will get a window AC instead.

Bought this for my restroom that's a 12 by 12 and didn't cool the room. Plus it was too clunky.

Frigidaire tech support said it might be a "faulty" unit, perhaps the compressor isn't working.

Will cool a 19x22 room. The install was super easy, not sure why some people have trouble with it. It is VERY easy to attach the hot air exhaust hose. You just need to extend out the hose ends all the way and and turn the hose which "screws" it into mounting brackets. As for the exhaust panel installation in the window, I just closed the window on the plastic panel and sealed the tiny gaps with masking tape. I did not use any screws to semi-permanently mount this thing. I also did not use the second extension panel, because I would have had to cut it down to size. I just used a piece of cardboard to fill the small gap at the top. The exhaust hose attaches securely and does not come loose from the panel mount in the window, nor does the exhaust hose come loose from the back of the unit. I mounted the exhaust hose panel vertically as my window opens sideways. I also cut a mop handle to fit in the window to secure/lock it, so nobody could slide open the window from the outside. You do not need to attach a garden hose to drain the water from the top drain outlet, unless you run the unit in dry(dehumidify) mode. The pan on the bottom may need draining (it will display a code on the LCD) if you live in a high humidity area. If you are in a dry area you might not need to drain water from the lower drain outlet. This thing on high fan speed is half as loud as my window mounted unit in another bedroom. On low speed this thing is very quiet.
