After three days of summer outside temperatures over 110F in Oracle I went to Best Buy to see what small Air Conditioners were in stock at the store. I decided to get this model. The next day I installed it in my observatory to cool the interior in the day. Has worked well since then.

I had an issue with my first purchase of one these, but best buy customer service was nice enough to return it and give me another one. I use this in my room in the attic. i live outside of chicago so it tends to get really humid and hot out here which isnt ideal if you sleep in the attic. But this helps tremendously. My room is pretty small. To give a better perspective on how small it is, i have a queen size bed and it takes up about half of the room. Leaves me with rarely any space to walk. Not the smallest room but still not that big. This cools down my room really well. Although the cold air tends to escape a lot since i have no door in my room you can feel the difference in tempeture to when its off or on. Highly recommend for anyone trying to cool down their room for my comfortable temps.

My daughter has been very pleased with how well this unit cools her trailer. It was not hard to install and cools so well that they haven't had to use the room air conditioners in the other rooms. I was pleasantly surprised given the cost paid.

I've had this thing running nonstop for the past month in my office at work and have had no problems with it. Pumps out the cold air. If my office was properly insulated it would definitely cool the room but because it's not I have to have it blowing straight on me to stay cool. I would recommend this unit.

It cools the area in my basement where the kids hang out adequately. I wish it had a longer and more flexible exhaust hose though as the one it comes with is a bit short for my needs and not as flexible as I would like. Would like a smaller dryer like exhaust hose for it rather than the super wide hose.

This air unit is small & very effective for up to two rooms.

I was skeptical about purchasing one of these, but I am genuinely surprised at how well this cools off a room. My bedroom is the furthest from our AC unit so it's always warmer than the rest of the house, so with this, we are able to keep our room at a chilly 62 degrees, while the rest of the house stays around 72. I no longer have to sweat at night! Only two drawbacks that we have found - 1. It's not truly "portable." We had to install the exhaust hose in our window, so we can't just wheel it around the house and use it. But, we don't really have a need to do that, so it's not a huge problem for us. 2. It does leak water fairly regularly. However, I'm not sure that is the machine's fault. We live in Louisiana. It's a humid 75 degrees outside at night, so I think that is a lot of our issue. We just keep a towel close to the machine to absorb whatever leaks and clean it up in the morning. Not enough of a drawback for us to stop using it! If you're doubting the quality of this, give it a chance. We love it. :)

Bought this for my basement apartment because it gets very hot in the summer and my windows aren't big enough for a traditional AC. My only gripe is that the exashust hose was too short to reach my window and I had to call the company and purchase another hose for $70. I attached the two the duct tape and now it works fine. You also need a garden hose to drain the water NOT INCLUDED.

Unit easy to assemble and start to use. Storage is simple.

Great cooling. Quiet and strong air flow. Very consistent cooling. The only negative I would say is that the filter doors are rather flimsy. Every time I clean them, I hope they won't break going back in. Other than that, I would recommend this air conditioner to anyone!!

This portable air conditioner cools a small to medium size bedroom or a medium size apartment. Adjusting the hose to the window kit is tricky. Take your time doing it. I love the dehumidifier (small garden hose needed--about $10 to $20) and the fan! Great features!

Cools well, but you should use the drain hose otherwise water may leak on the floor. I don't find that the self-evaporative feature works well in cooling mode despite what the company claims, however.

I needed a portable AC unit for my room for my dogs and asked a sales person for a recommended unit, he suggested this one since the price was really good. I've had this for two and a half months now, it keeps the room nice and cool (around 300 sq ft). It also comes with a hose and window panel that fits on both vertical and horizontal windows. The AC part only goes as low as 67 degrees (F). Since I am a spoiled rotten millennial, I don't know how to mentally subtract the increase in my amount of electricity (my apartment complex has communal utility bills which is bs) to tell you if it assisted in the spike at all. The fan option is nice, have not tried the dehumidifier so won't be writing about it.

First, let me start this off by saying for a portable air conditioner, it does the job decently. However, if you're looking for an easy to use unit, pass this one up. In order to use most of the settings for the unit, you -have- to use the remote. The unit itself only has controls for the mode, temperature and power. To adjust fan speeds, you have to have the remote. The unit is advertised to have sleep and wake timers. However, these have to be used with the remote. However, they never actually start or stop appropriately. Most other units have an "Ok" button to confirm your selections.....this unit does not. In fact, if you don't press anything, the remote just sits there and doesn't do anything. In order to make the change, you have to hit the "on/off" button, which sometimes will also shut the unit off, then you have to power it back on. My second thing that has made me less than happy with this product is that even if the internal water tank is empty from any runoff, any ice that freezes can still leak out onto your floor. Having this in a carpeted area leads to your carpet getting a mildew like smell. I also recommend buying extra insulation kits for your window when you install the unit, as what is included doesn't give you very many options. So far, I've only used it on days where the temperature hasn't broken 80 degrees outside. There have been some days that it hasn't seemed to help cool my room off that much. As such, I am truly afraid of when summer hits in full on force.

bought this as a boost for our bedroom during the hot summer months and in case our aging a/c happens to go out during the extreme heat...easy to set up and cools our master bedroom perfectly

Easy to assemble unit, but had a little trouble hooking hose to window panel. Keeps my bedroom nice and cool. Need to improve instruction book, sequence of instructions difficult to follow.

We purchased this for a bedroom that gets minimal air flow. This air conditioning unit cools the entire room and the hall way, cooling the other bedrooms. Great price for a great unit.
