I was looking for wine cooler that is quite. Based on the reviews, I settled on this unit. I love it. It keeps the beverages cold and is whisper quite! Some wine bottles do not fit based on initial configuration. I had to remove two shelves. No big deal. Just reconfigure the shelf to make it fit. There is really no reason to buy those expensive ones when you can get this. I just hope it can last for a few years.

The wine fridge is nice but it came damaged. Looks like it fell off a forklift or something. Had to hammer corner to get handle put on. But besides the shipping I like it

nice looking unit and seems to perform the basic function of chilling wine, but the ease of use/engineering leaves something to be desired. The shelves do not slide when loaded. They are too close together to slide the wine bottles in easily. The top shelf of the lower section, which is for red wine, does not fit most red wine bottles, so I had to take the shelf out just to use the space. The rack at the bottom is also too narrow to slide in bottles so I took it out too. Really frustrating!! Unit works, but functionality is not good. At less than $400 it is ok and still way less than the high end units, but beware, it doesn't work as good as it looks.

Thanks ver all is an ok wine cooler, it does its job. But the shelf design is dumb. All wine coolers have the same challenge: to fit different size bottles on the shelves. If you make the space between shelves fixed as it is the case with this unit, you can’t adapt, and you end up wasting space and not being able to fit all the bottles they claim you can fit (38). If they had made shelf slots at many more intervals you would be able to move shelves up and down the slots and make some shelves wider and some narrower and adjust to the variety of your collection. It’s an annoying deficiency, a small design tweak would make this a great value for a wine cooler.

Nice but crummy shelves poorly designed. Shelf made of flimsy wood and normal size wine bottles do not fit had to remove shelf to make it fit. I like racks that fit bottles.

so after my vinotemp died i was in a hurry to buy a new wine cooler, this one is nice, does the job, not really sliding drawers like the vinotemp, but much cheaper HOWEVER this did arrive damaged (like other reviewers) immediately called BB and they have a new one on the way.....will see how this one fares

I carefully researched wine coolers for my new kitchen. I was surprised to find that almost across the board there was dismay in the usually short life span of these. I also looked at the specs on these and found that most were not designed to be built in units. In fact this unit recommended (in one place) to maintain at least 3 inches of clearance all around. In another place it recommended 2 inches. I discovered why. Your big fridge has condesning coils, often with a fan, that exhausts out the back. This unit does not have that. The copndensing apparatus is built into the sides of the refrigerator. They say it can get up to 30 degrees hotter than ambient in extreme situations! My solution is to make a space under counter with as close to 2 inches around as I can muster, and I am adding three small quiet cooling fans that will run whenever the fridge compressor is running. I hope that will help. I checked the specs against real life. When running they claim the current draw is 1.1 amp. I measured .86 amp (less). They claim the wattage was 87 watts. I measured 102 watts. I also am seeing a daily kwh draw of about .4 kwh, they claim .5 which is higher than I measured. Temp performance is adequate. Do not expect the digital displayed set temps to mirror the actualtemps, but it will be close. The saddest thing is that these usits are packaged with the metal covering of the refrigerator protected only by about 1/4 inch of cardboard. No other protection against dents. I had read the complaints about dents and determined if I saw any carton damage suggestive of damage I would open it at the store (I had it shipped to BB and picked it up in store). The box wasn't "perfect" but I saw nothing to suggest anything that I thought might indicate damage. However when I got home the case was danmaged on the top back corner and along the back edge of one side. Since I am putting mine more or less out of sight, I may just keep it. It sounds like the majority of these suffer some form of shipping damage due to the inadequate packing materials used (none mostly). If you plan to bukd in a wine cooler, make sure the mfgr specifies it is for built in application. The price for most of these start around $1500.

Overall, it is an attractive unit. I don't worry as much about dual zones, as most of my wines are reds. The shelves are terrible. They do not slide out if there is anything on them. If the fridge is at or near capacity, it is awkward pulling wine out. This is a terrible design and cannot recommend this product because of this flaw.

I loved the look of this wine fridge and liked that it had dual zones. But when I got it home I was sad to find out that it didn't fit the wine bottles like I'd hoped. The shelves are too close together to fit anything other than your standard bordeaux style wine bottles. My Chardonnay bottles which are slightly larger at the base wouldn't fit without lifting up the shelf above , but that doesn't work when that shelf has wine bottles on it. I also didnt like that once you filled a shelf with wine bottles, there's no way to see the varietals at the back without unloading the bottles in front of it. I was hoping you'd be able to pull the shelves out to get to the back bottles. Was really disappointed in this fridge!

This wine cooler is beautiful and such a great price!! It adds a perfect toucb to my new kitchen!

Works well but is very loud. Husband calls it the hurricane. We have tried everything to reduce the sound levels and make sure it is functioning properly. We have to turn it off when we have guests and in the quiet of the morning because it's so loud that it is distracting.

Not a great product. Champagne bottles do not fit. Once filled, it is very difficult to slide the shelves out. Space between shelves is very tight.

I ordered this unit and then discovered that Best Buy had shipped it via UPS without telling me. I called and explained that UPS doesn't allow for an appointment or inspection of the unit upon receipt and that I'd assumed they'd use a local delivery service. Too bad.... nothing can be done. Then the pkg arrives, I unpack it and there's a dent/crease in the top and one of the legs is bent. Damage that clearly occurred prior to shipping. I contact Best Buy. They ship a new unit. They tell me to repack the old unit and that UPS will pick it up. I repack as best possible and two days later I still have yet to receive the emailed UPS label. I've called and emailed to get a new label...and they can't seem to provide one. And the new pkg? It was shipped signature required (tough to do, I have a job) because somehow by signing for it, I'll be confirming that it's not damaged inside of the box? Or is UPS going to change their policy, take the box up into my apt building and stay with me while I unpack it? My favorite part to date has been the suggestion of the Best Buy operator that I return the appliance to a local store and pick up a new one. Of course, if it fit in my car, I would never have ordered it for delivery.... Anyway, good luck buying from Best Buy. If I ever actually receive a working and undamaged unit, I'll gladly update my review.

Works just fine. As promised, keeps wine chilled. Don't understand the physics of keeping cold area on top but that's the way it works.

Just received my Frigidaire Wine Cooler and if I wasn't selling with my house, I'd send it back.. It looks nice but whoever designed it isn't a wine drinker. Pinot bottles are fatter and so are some Merlot bottles and neither fit well. Shelves are too close together. Getting Pinot bottles in and out is a chore. When the racks are full it's all but impossible to pull the rack out because of the weight of the bottles. And what's with having the red wines in the bottom section. Cold goes settles to the bottom (simple Physics). You want the white wine where it's colder.

"Problem: Boiling or gurgling sound, like water boiling." From the troubleshooting part of the care manual. "Cause: Refrigerant is circulating throughout the system." I definitely would not have bought this unit if I had known this ahead of time. My previous wine cooler from another manufacturer lasted about 15 years and was completely silent. Not the case with this unit, which boils and gurgles consistently, annoying and loud enough to be heard faintly in the next room. This unit was placed in an open space in a long wall cabinet right across from my dining room table, where it will boil and gurgle all through dinner so my guests can ask who the manufacturer is and hopefully not make the same mistake in buying it. IMO it's a significant design defect.
