Secured it in the window thoroughly, sealed it up... and discovered the controls didn't work on the AC itself, only with the remote. At this point, it would be too difficult to remove, re-box, drive 35 miles to return it. Best Buy should NOT have shipped an item to me that wasn't checked for functions first, especially "Open Box", which was probably returned for this very reason. It cools very well, but the fan does odd 5 to 10 second on/off cycles when it's very hot outside. Directions say to turn up fan speed in this case. Find the remote, ok. But what if the remote breaks? I'm out $153.00.

They said they will give back 10% but when I applied the code, nothing happened but a sigh said that my code had been applied. If they are not the only option we had at that time we wont order from them
